Has something changed? I cannot find the setting in config to change the intro.ans pointer.

I do have the individual game descriptions in each game config, but not the main intro screen.

Thank you!

All is up and running, and the server is responding faster than before.

Hey Cruncher,

What program you use for making ansi's for your Logon page?

Just cururious, most still use TheDraw or AcidDraw, I use PabloDraw, it is the best one of them, and isn't in Dos, it works in windows on in a vm invironment.

I have all three and probably use PabloDraw the most, it's easiest. But AcidDraw will get you more detail, like blinking and different animations.

As for the fancy "Cruncher's TWGS", I found a web site that converted text to ansi, I just chose a style that I liked, and that fit the space. I forgot the site, but I'm sure you'll find it if you google it.

I build my own, and PabloDraw can do the blinking, and other animations and other things as well, you have to just know where to go and what to look for, I use it exclusively now. Especially after I figured out the secret.

I am going to be putting my v2 TWGS back up again soon, and will start hosting games again as well, I will try to keep the server maintained as best as I can, though, I will be working on a 3D CG game that me and my dev team are on, I got Stein from SWATH on as a programmer. I am one of the CG artists. and we are looking for more of both. So if you know anyone interested, send them my way.

OK, what's the secret to PabloDraw?

Okay on the blinking look at the little squares on the bottom left, you see the black square, with the greyish looking one under it, you right click on the greyish one, then left click on any other one, and the letter you type with, will flash, for the other effects you have to experiment, but here is a clue for some of the effects, look at the F1 thru F12 keys, also with the shift, alt and ctrl keys, they all give you something different on the displays of graphicsThere is a tutorial on it withing the program, well there is supposed to be. If you don't have the latest PabloDraw then go to this website and get it, it is the latest one, this years version, and there also tutorials on the site for working with PabloDraw too. Just scroll down til you see the tutorials section.

Here is the site addy for the latest PabloDraw, 3.1, it works differently than the older one, I gave the basics for the older version, I have both the older version and the new one, I was beta testing for the current version, now it is released, and has way more options than the one I gave the basics and clues for, to try it, goto the link below and get it and try it, this goes for all who want it:

Wow, I had no idea they were still releasing new versions. The one I've been using was 2.0.8.70. Installing the latest one now, can't wait to see it.

Thanks Vulcan! :D

You are welcome.

Did you try the trick I described to make things blink?

The new one has a lot more options and can do a lot of other things as well, be sure to read on the website all the things it can do.

No, I'm not seeing the box in the lower left as you described. They need to make the animation as easy to find as it is to choose a paint brush. Customizing paint brushes is really really cool.

When I want to get into this further, I'll check the web site for tutorials. Thanks again!

The Trick I showed works on the older version of PabloDraw. The new version is trickier to use. but has more funciions as well. Also on both the old and the new one, when you are in edit mode, make sure you have the ICE Colors are unchecked to get the blinking characters to work, the reason the new version is a little trickier, is the color blocks are on the side of the program, instead on the bottom, but the same principle applies to it as the old. just different location.

OK, that makes the curser blink or not. I want to know how to make the elements blink.

AcidDraw has not only blinking, but also animation. You can make objects fade in and out, all sorts of stuff.
