Windows update for Server2003 just corruped my windows/system file. I've got to hit the sack, I'll let you all know when it's up again. Sorry for those in the tournament. When I get it back up, I'll set a re-open date/time. |

I heard from my hardware guy tonight... the TW server is ALIVE!  One of the HD's failed. I'll pick it up tomorrow and once it's up and I check out the saved games, I'll let you all know when to expect the games to open again. No more array, but there is a new (used) second drive in for backups. Yeah!

I'm still working on getting the server configured and running. Installing windowns updates as I type. (Keeping fingers crossed) The reason the server went down was because of windows updates, my hardware guy tells me my HD's are undamaged, but the boot sector was blown the last time I installed updates. All game data is secure. We installed a third HD to reload WinServer2003, with one of the original raid drives as backup. I just love canabalizing old hardware to re-pupose it. Last night I installed TWGS and copied over all of the games, DynDNS is reporting good, but I'm still not able to telnet to the machine yet. Hoping after updates this all hums along smoothly again. |
