MicroBlaster.Net has moved!

Since I am loosing my internet connection, I have moved MNB to my friends server. I have updated the DNS, and propigation should now be complete. Please make sure you are connecting to twgs.microblaster.net, and not the old IP address. You may also need to clear your DNS cache by running the command "IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS" from the windows command prompt. If you are still unable to connect, try connectin to the new IP address 98.174.178.194 on port 2002.

To keep things fair, I have scheduled all games to re-open at 8pm Eastern daylight time.

I installed TWGS friday, copied my games over to "C:\Program Files (x86)\EIS\TWGS\Game", and tested the new installation.

Last night, I re-copied the data to the same folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\EIS\TWGS\Game" and fired the server back up, and it was running with the data from friday. I initially thought I made an errro and restored the wrong backup, but I copied the data again, and it was still running Friday's data. I double checked the timestamps, and I had the correct data.

I un-installed and re-installed, and imported gameo this time (instead of copying the files)... and the game is running with the correct data, but there is no folder C:\Program Files (x86)\EIS\TWGS\Game\GameO

How is TWGS accessing this data that isn't there?

This is running in a Server 2008 Hyper-V virtual machine.

The twgs directory should be off C: all kinds if issues ensue using program files.

My suggestion, copy your game data, uninstall, reinstall in C:\TWGS, copy game data.

JP fixed the path issues, and TWGS runs fine in the default directory.

This is a Microsoft security "feature". I found the following article that explains it:

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums ... d5892b7218

It can be "fixed" by setting "Run as Admiinistrator", but it also seems to be running fine with the gamedata in the C:\Users\dmc\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\EIS\TWGS\Games folder. I just had no idea it was going to move my data from the normal location.

I am glad it all worked out for you.
