 Longest running TW sites
I created a dynamically generated list of the oldest TW sites awhile back. Now I've added a new list of the longest running TW sites. The oldest sites list simply counts the time between when the site first opened and its most recent activity, without concern for how much the site was open in between. This new list is generated based on the number of days the site has been active since 07/08/2011 when I started tracking the online status of TWGSv2 servers. http://wiki.classictw.com/index.php?tit ... _Site_List

 Re: Longest running TW sites
Something is a miss here, I've been up continiously since the day version 2.00 was released.

 Re: Longest running TW sites
If that's true, I can update your days online. One of the issues is that TWGS isn't very aggressive at reporting in. Basically, once per day it checks to see if a new version is available, and it updates your active flag during that check. If the check fails for any reason, it doesn't retry. So if for any reason the network was not working at that moment, it doesn't get flagged. I can work on making that more robust.

 Re: Longest running TW sites
I'm not concerned about my numbers, but I think it might be a better process to consider any server to be online unless it misses several daily check-ins.

 Re: Longest running TW sites
I actually changed it so it'll try back again every hour if it misses, then when it connects, it'll revert to once per day. I think it's pretty stable at this point.

 Re: Longest running TW sites
How do I fix the redlink? My gamesite is slightly different in the WIKI: http://wiki.classictw.com/index.php?tit ... er_NetworkAlso, I see a lot of sites in here that aren't on Jumpgate.

 Re: Longest running TW sites
It's up to the op whether they want to be on Jumpgate. This is tracked seperately. Just a simple record of whether the server called in to check for an update. No data passed or whatever.
I'll link your entry to your museum page.
