It all depends on how tall that person is. 225 lbs or a 5 ft tall person could be considered fat, but for someone 6 ft tall, 225 lbs is not that bad.

I suppose it's relative. Before I got married, I was about 180. I'm not any taller now ;) But yeah, 6 foot.

Weight doesn't mean much of anything. One of the firefighters in our department several years ago would have been deemed overweight based on numbers - 5' 9" and about 220, but you wouldn't want to get into a weightlifting contest with him or compare body fat numbers. Since I left the FD, I've gained about 20 lbs in the wrong places.

Yeah, good point. Muscle weighs more than fat. All of my weight gain is in one place, and it isn't muscle.

I think there's a curse related to TW. After I took it over from Gary, he lost a lot of weight and I gained it. We switched places!

You were a firefighter? (respect +1)

Yeah for 28 years - been out of it for a while now. That is where my primary alias of Promethius (misspelling intentional) came from.

They say that's a good sign to gain weight after you get married. Fat & Happy! :)

That's the norm. They gain weight and instead of wearing that sexy black negligee they start wearing flannel pajamas and a wool housecoat. Forplay is replaced with the time it takes to get through the 3 layers of clothing.

I've been the same weight for 45 years, 165+/- a couple pounds. Problem is, much of what used be around my shoulders has moved south towards the centre. Wife thinks it is beer, but I reckon it is gravity.

I used to own a gym (many years ago) I was 225 with less than 7% body fat. I was a member of the 500 club (could squat over 500 lbs). At 6'4", I was a MONSTER!

Now I'm 300 and play Twar...... (sad)

Now now... don't blame your weight gain, or gravity effects on TW!

As we age, we need to eat less, because we're doing less!

And as we age our sweet tooth gets larger and larger...

It's a no win situation, unless you're willing to work twice as hard as you did when you were younger, just relax and enjoy "maturity"
