I'm playing at http://www.microblaster.net. Not going into all the details, but the day that I do a planet buyout to keep some noobs from ore whoring all day, somehow the opposing corp manages to make it to the back of my 260 bubble without going through my door.

Yeah, I know it can be done if you are an experience person, and you managed to have a lock on a sector with a planet before the bubble is gridded out; however, it is not possible in this situation. Too many unexplained happenings. I'm not going into all the details.

The sysop has a $100 tourney he is hosting next month. I wonder who is going to get that money.

I've been playing this game a long time, and there is some cheating going on at that server... player beware.

isn't there such a thing called a back door?

The first thing you should have done is ask the other team how they did it.

You need to try this if you haven't already.

Blind warp to an empty sector, if you're using Swath you'll have to turn blind warp protecton off. The sector must be completely empty, no beacons, no limpets - nothing! If you're unsure, blind jump with a havoc first - it's less expensive that an ISS.

When you find a bubble to build in, no matter how large or small you must put the door on avoid and try to plot a course into it. If it does have a back door, you'll find it then. ZTM's and Swath maps sometimes don't catch all the oneways.

Calling foul on a server is serious, you need to ask and explore other options before having a knee-jerk reaction.

One of the other players requested that I make a no-buyout rule. IMO a buyout is an underhanded practice, but this is an unregulated game and as far as I know this is not considered "Bug Use", so it is perfectly legal.

I do not play on my own server, because I would consider that unethical. I would also consider it highly unethical to assist another player in cheating. If that is what you are implying, you Darn well better have proof!!! I am the type of person that would never us an unethical practice, such as a buyout, even when it is clearly allowed by the rules, and I certainly would not assist any player on my server in cheating.

Since this is an unregulated game, only two rules apply and they are posted in the galactic announcement.

1. NO DUPES!!! Duplicate accounts will be deleted without warning.
2. No Bug use. If you are not sure about a possible bug, ask me.

If you have proof that this player has broken either of these rules, Please email it to me and I will take the appropriate action.

I know Shadowlord is a known alias and I have seen him in other games. I think I know who he might be, and if it is that person, they play out of the same city and are friends. I could easily be wrong.

Shadowlord is logging into my server from a Different IP address. Maybe DD was trying to hack his account?

Thank you for taking the time to look it up to find something to attack me with. It was not uncommon for me to log in a separate instance to check and see what was going on in the daily logs while a script was running.

Logging my teammate in only to knock his mombot offline is counter productive, but if you want to make the argument that I was duping because I looked at the logs while gridding... well call me a duper.

Thanks for taking the time to look though. That tells me everything I needed to know.

You do not know me, but I'm a veteran to this game. Back in 2005 I had the fastest SST script out there. The ones that were remotely close to keeping up with mine were very likely to get you killed. Ever see Promethius, Ridge Runner, or FreeJack SSTing? That is my script. I tell you that to illustrate that I know how this game works just like everybody else that has played this game for a decade or more.

The last thing I wanted to do was call the man a cheating sysop, and I honestly want to believe him. All I'm saying is player beware.

If you don't concider this duping then please define duping to us please.

I'm an old school player from '94 - '02, so I also know a thing or two about this game.

My definition of duping - one player logging into the game with two accounts PERIOD! I don't care if it was your corpie and he gave you his pw. If you want to read the logs, stop your script and read!

I think Mombot has basically made duping legal so lines like this are crossed and no one thinks theres anything wrong with it.

I was actually checking to see if the other player was Duping. I was very suprised with the results.

The bottom line here is that you got #SD# by a better player than you and you decided to come to the forum and cry about it. Shadowlord was the first player into this game, and he was planet busting for 5 days before anyone else entered the game. He must be a really bad player to have needed to call you into the game in the first place. I have attached the game log in case anyone is interested.

I don't even know who XX is, and I have no motive to help him or anyone else. You have called me a cheating sysop without even a scrap of a theory or any evidence that the other player was asisted in any way, and I expect a public apology.
