I had a thought, maybe not a good one but all the same a thought! When I first started playing this game over 10 years ago I did not read the instructions as I dont with any game, I played. Becuase I was bored and hard headed I begin to learn, but I proablly did not have a excellent concept of this game untill very recently. When ever you begin to play a game these days, such as EVE, WoW, and most new games you learn by playing a "campaign" or by being assigned very noobish task that help you learn controls, concept, etc. With that in mind would you think it would be a good idea to create some type of "trader school" with an automated bot to assign campaigns, such as how to ppt, ssm, sdt, create planets, colonize, etc. I think this would be a great tool for attracting and keeping new blood and a great way to help those who are just starting learn the fine concepts of the game... without being killed while busting up in the "big game" at the dock becuase you are a noob (me me me!!) and have no clue what a macro or t_buster are!! Thoughts?? |

I like the idea a lot. It would take a lot of work writing the "Training bot" though. |

I know Thrawn has done a lot of work on a sort of TradeWars school. TradeWars Academy. I wonder how far he's gone with that. |
