Don't get me wrong, I'm very impressed with the script that can pull the game settings, ship and planet settings and post it to game resets.

But... where's the negligee? This lays it all out, no surprises, nothing to “discover” if you will. Just bare neked settings.

true with brand new games
or
new players to any new edit.

but.. with only a handful of edits.. most already know everything that is posted anyway.

Information is power. The more you know the better you can play.

Never been much for the negligee... I'm more of a "get nekkid and lets do this quick so I can get back to what I was doing before you interrupted me" kinda guy... Reckon thats what 10yrs of marriage will do to ya...

Absolutely and those who are clever enough to figure things out without having it served up on a silver platter should have the advantage.

That all depends on the circumstances. If everyone has to figure out the settings equally, I see your point. But let's say it's a tournament and the person that created that edit for that tournament and is is playing in it. If that's the case then it would be an unfair advantage to the players that had never seen that edit before.

Am not on my usual m/c and cannot remember my Kavanagh password, been 10+ years but I am Kavanagh, Mad Mick my seldom alias.

That said, English is not phonetic, so don't blame Cruncher. "sence, cence, sense, cense - all indistinguishably pronounced in English.

English is not phonetic. I think it was George Bernard Shaw who wrote that GHOTI should be pronounced as FISH:
gh, pronounced "F" as in rough, o, pronounced as "I" in women and ti, pronounced as "SH" in nation.

Kav is probably just having a brain fart, happens to the best of us.

We're playing the old HVS game, corp planet list of course does not show the planet numbers, nor does it organize them by sector. We're trying to train a noob to build and farm, planets get moved and misplaced all the time.

But, we're having fun discovering the subtle differences.

And I want extra credit for spelling "negligee" correctly.
