oops, didn't realize you were done testing.

I just got on and ran a few turns and that game is F.A.S.T.! :)

Very, very nicely done Stoneslinger!

Why do you have a time limit on your system? Makes the game relatively pointless.

"Demo" users only get 2hrs per connection and can use upto 24 hrs time per day.
Once validated you will be classed as a "normal" user with 24-7 uniterrupted useage.
Sorry for the inconveniance, it is to prevent unvalidated users from causeing big problems in the online games.

The Swamp is a World Groups BBS front-end just like the old days of playing TW.

As a matter of fact he has several versions available to play there from the oldest to the very latest versions.

For those of us who recognize the differences, it's fun to go "step into the way back machine" and play one of the early realeses, then we better appreciate the evolution of the game.

So, just like the old bbs days, you need to start your "account" with your real infomation to be verified by the sysop to get 24/7 access. Otherwise you just relog every 2 hours.

Ok, so that being said, when do you "validate" your new users? I have received no email, no phone call, nothing, and still am unable to log into the system due to my time being used up. Also, "demo" users cannot use "up to 24 hours time per day". It allows about 3 hours before kicking you off and locking you out.

It kind of turns players off of your system. I can understand your desire to keep things clean and cheat free, but this may not be the best way.

It is Christmas Eve...

He does run a tight ship, and honest players do appreciate it.

And I am certain I'll appreciate it as well, being an honest player and all, but considering I've been out of the TW2002 world for several years, its slightly disheartening to have a problem playing on the 1st server I make an attempt to return with. :)

Welcome back! I had my "Christmas" earlier in the week so today's just a day off, with the whole day to goof off.

Here's a link to active servers: http://wiki.classictw.com/index.php/Cur ... Game_Sites

Today I'm goofing off on the EIS classic server telnet://twgs.classictw.com:23 running some tests in the sandbox game.

I was not validating users from the 23rd thu to the 26th of December, did not want to interupt family times during Christmas. Sometimes it can be a challenge geting ahold of people but I try to get all new users validated as soon as possible. You can still access the tradewars games in the "Demo" user class until validation.
