I'll start this here, if it is a Beta issue I'm sure a moderator can move it. Once upon a time pods would return to your last sector warped to. I've not seen that in a while. This AM my pod flew deep into Fed Protected Space, at least 15 - 20 hops from where I began. and at least a good 10 hops from my nearest explored sector. Facinating way to explore new areas of the universe! LOL Not recommended, rather pricey trip. Just questioning if this is normal behavior or not now? |

Depends on how you pod. There's 2 different pod algos. You can easily find this info in my sig. Linky: http://tw-cabal.navhaz.com/strategy/podlocations.html |

I did recall the safe path algo, but was just thrown by the deep into unexplored sectors. I don't think it did that before. But, like you ended with on your page, this changes from version to version. Note to self: Check who's online each an every time before hitting an enemy fig! I was pdropped by T0yman. |

No need to check just move a little faster. If you hold your tongue on the right side of your mouth when you hit the cannon the pod will flee back to your original sector. However, if you hold your tongue on the left side of your mouth the pod will flee to a random sector. |

Look pod behavior has been done to death here. See thread / articles referenced by Sing. There is nothing to fix here. No bugs at all. |

Sorry PH, but once upon a time in a universe far, far away... Pods would only shoot out on safe paths to sectors you've already explored but would not enter unexplored sectors. Don't know what version, don't recall if it was HVS or TWGS. It just struck me as unusual behavior and I was checking. That's something a beta tester does, observe and question. If you're board with this topic no one forced you to read it. There have been a LOT of subtle changes to the game and my memory of game mechanics is Swiss cheese at best and most defiantly a smorgasbord of different versions. |

Read the thread already mentioned and you will understand all. There are no bugs. All this is fully documented here in many threads. |
