MALICIOUS PRANK! Yesterday somebody using the name “Jimmy D” logged into every single game on my server and ran a malicious script or macro that caused players using mombat to cby in the game. The person who did this was not a player on my server. While I don’t know the identity of this person, I do have the 2 IP addresses that he or she used and I am posting them below. 97.171.1.152 – Verizon Wireless Connection in Yonkers, New York State 24.241.18.54 - Charter Communications in Millbury, Mass. All TW Sysops would be wise to permanently ban these 2 IP addresses from their servers immediately. Sage |

You havent been paying attention to smack, have you? lol they been talking about this bot bug for days. Apparantly someone in the tourny was doing the same thing to peeps. |

I would suggest that the admin modify the subject title to "WARNING TO ALL TW SYSOPS! / Players using M()M bot" until a fix is added. It has been discussed in one thread, but a lot of players may miss the discussion. |

Bots are the bane of TW. They ran off more players than anything else. Automation was not a good innovation as it turned out. |

Automation was not a good innovation as it turned out. the "bane' of TW ?? u are kidding right?? before there were bots there was vnc/remote desktop.....I disagree Bots are the big evil problem of TW....i think if you look up..you will find the sky really isnt falling and that bots..wether m0mbot OR -st bot or vids bot or parrots bot or etc etc etc come on..its not the bot. Rather the inability to adjust playing styles inregards to bots...after all if a corp has x amount of players and x amount of turns...no one is really at an advantge because of a bot.bots dont really become an advantage until corpies are so BORED with the game there are only bots running to 1 real person at keys.....So in that sense they are an advantage to teams who otherwise would of got bored and quit. |
