 Off Topic - The Ride k, I know I am no poet and should stick to writing scripts, but there may be some people who can relate to the following:
The Ride
The sun is shining, the weather mild,
it is a great day to feel like a child.
So it is out on the streets I will go,
my destination, I do not know.
The sun is on my face,
the wind in my hair,
where I shall go,
I do not care.
I know some won't understand,
the love of the ride by this old man.
What they think, I don't care,
the thrill of the ride is always there.
I open the throttle and the motor speaks,
the lines on the road become only streaks.
Into the curves I go fast,
happy and content I am at last.
Before my eyes, a road that is straight,
the throttle opens more to speed up the rate.
The motor is singing and faster I fly,
down the road is clear blue sky.
As I blaze down the road ever so fast,
was that a state trooper I just passed?
Look in my mirror what do I see,
red lights, coming straight for me.
I pull over to await my fate,
a county judge for my next date.
The trooper goes by with a wave and smiles,
I think I will be careful for the next few miles.
So if on a cycle you should see,
an old man smiling and free,
that old man, just might be me.

Re: Off Topic - The Ride A couple of pics from today's 68 mile ride. The second pic was something I don't recommend - one hand on the throttle, and the other holding the camera (but I was riding very slow). This is my '02 Connie that ended today's ride at 33,550 miles.
