Namecheap offers dynamic DNS controls for domains. Twgs.navhaz.com updates every half hour automatically using a dos version of wget, a batch file, namecheap's dyndns controls and the twgs scheduler.

My Dynamic DNS vendor of choice for the past 9 years or so is dyndns.com. 5 names for free, all dyndns clients work with it, many of which will check every 10 minutes for changes. Setup is trivial.

ok dns is updated. sorry for the interruption.

i had been a happy dyndns.org customer (freeloader) for a long time, but they started nagging me like every 30 days that my ip was not changing and i kept having to do gratuitous updates. then one day my account was just gone. poof. so i just decided to use my own dns, since my ip so rarely changed. i was going to write my own updater, but i don't have access to configure the dns myself since i'm freeloading on oldtimer's server. still, all it takes is an email and he updates it for me. i may have to take over hosting myself soon, though. news at 11.
