Unread post Death to Microsoft
Many of you know I am not a fan of Microsoft. My personal opinion of their quality control involves a lot of four letter words.

Last year I bought a used laptop - decided at that point that I was never going to buy a desktop again. I then bought a new Gateway in January. It came with XP, and never did work right. I decided to install Linux, and after some experimentation I got it working great with Ubuntu Studio 64 7.10. I installed Wine (meaning to install TWGS on it) and had installed Internet Exploder and Microsoft Reader as a test - they worked fine. Then my dog danced on the keyboard. He's 50 pounds worth of enthusiasm - brains - well he's a bit short on them. He managed to knock off a bunch of keys, and the laptop is in the shop right now, but I don't know if it is repairable yet.

So I bought myself a MacBook for Christmas. There's apparently a version of Wine that will work on OSX. I'm going to install it tomorrow, assuming I can figure out how, and try and get TWGS working. For those who don't know, Mac OSX is based on BSD - a version of Unix, which is fairly closely related to Linux.

I'll let everyone know how this works out. It should be interesting.

I bought vnWare Fusion and run WIndows 2000 and XP on my macbook. I wasn't happy with the performance until I went to 2gigs of ram. Since then I haven't looked back. I am playing 3 games with SWATH/TWX right now in windows xp and typing this in Safari on the mac side.

Microsoft is just misunderstood and that Bill Gates is just as awesome... I mean you all should like him afterall, because he supports eugenics and most of you seem to be on par with his views... like two peas in a pod. lol

Thanks for the compliment on that comparison for most of the people here. Being compared to a man that had the vision to license a product instead of selling it and who became one of the richest men in the world, and who gives to various charities as well is not a bad comparison at all. ;)
