Hello,
More specifically I'd like to know what your favorite game edit or setting's are? While were on the topic, which game in your month's/year's of experiance most stuck out?

The death matches at Campus Party every Saturday night.
Great edits and all the players showed. It was great. Fire up the music, grab a beer and play a death match with your TW friends till 5 in the morning.

Man I miss that game.

Where you at SVEN????

The game I will always remember is one I lost badly.  I had only been back for about 3 games and still really didn't have a clue about scripts but was learning REXX for ZOC.  A corpie said come guard base while he colonized I did, but didn't check to see if there was a fig outside of base to give a warning.  The third corpie warps in and starts eprobing from base - bad, bad idea.  Next thing I saw was Dr Doog launches a p-missle and I, and my two corpies have 0 turns.  We tried to fight, but lost bad.  Found out later they were grabbing every last fighter they could come up with to take us out.  Doog still reminds me of that game from time-to-time.

one of my most memorable was also my 2nd or 3rd game back into TW after taking a few years off.. it was the time between (it seemed to me) when TW went from old school (only 1 login at a time) BBS days to the multiple node twgs style of today. I hardly knew anyone but somehow hooked up with a guy named Nobody.. we battled Xide and Trahern (Alieron) on Merlins server. It seemed to last forever. Of course this was before Xide came up with TWX and scripts were almost nonexistent. Could be why it seem to take so long..   almost everything was by hand.    The good ole days..

To this date I do not remember any of my games, because I am always completely trashed within the first two hours of playing and end up waking up drunk with a terrible handover laying in a wet spot (strangely enough I have not been able to track down the leak in my roof causing this occur each night) located at the base of my computer desk, then I usually find that I am SD once I give up looking for that Darn leaky pipe.

laff... the leaky pipe is funny..

But in answer to the question... Rider and I had just hooked up together... b4 either one of us scripted any... there was a byoc game where CEO's were asked not to stack their corp with the Best Players... Rider and I got asked by Jh... so we got to corp with him, Oz, and i think DF... they did most the work, but the talks we had made me a better planner going into games like that...

Also when it comes to SubZero... Alex was the teacher there... heh... either i Won with him or got #SD# by him...
but he would explain things... even after he killed me...

The Innocents... heh a Tourney team think it was a draft led by Kemper... Speed Demon got MVP for stepping up when Kemper had to leave town... I went from blue to red, and back to Blue to run the reds... I knew what i was doing then...laff

as far a what edits they were... i can't remember except the last Chess tourney i was in... we didn't win... but we lasted longer than everyone else... heh the game that hooked TV and I together...

Corp Wars edit by Vader

I had so much fun both of the times the turny ran. lol

Corp wars 2 Kemper had a death in the family and had to leave town for a while. I ended up having to do the best I could finding new ports and keeping the cash flow going. And poor Speedy trying to defend his planet while I was forced to invade because no one else had any turns left. What fun.

AB oldie but goody was a low turn game ended up being the first game I had won after I got back in to TW back in 2001.

Standard out of the box edits by Slim, Kemper and me were fighting it out against EP and Trader. GG guys

Oh and one of my all time favorites CtB at AB one time poor Traitor and SG were out cashing and Pison found them he had #SD# Traitor and podded SG poor SG had hide on a port to get away. lol

The last one I can think of was Back to Basics an CK edit. We were battling it out against Loki, BC, and Alex lol I had teamed up with an old timer Intrepid they put wiping on us but we did have a bit of fun trying to lure them in to traps.

anyways wave hi to everyone I hope life is treating you well

Mine would have been one of the very 1st truce games heard of, and was held on Alien Base.  It was game C, and SGO (Supreme Galactic Overlord), was against me.  I had built up a unpenatratable door, and he had 5 corpies that couldn't get in.  I remember this game vividly because I had so much fun.  Spyhunter, a noob at the time, joined up with SGO.  I killed them both daily and Spyhunter said he learned more from that game than any other game he'd played.  No one on the other corp really knew what a planet bonus odds were, and the best ship had the odds.  One day I killed 4 out of 5 of thier corp sitting over a planet in this ship as they kept warping in using macros trying to kill me.
BTW, SGO accused me of cheating using a bug because he didn't understand what the planet bonus ship was.  Later when he found out how that setting worked, he emailed JP complaining about this setting.  That is when JP changed the setting to NOT work over a planet in fed space.   So basically in an indirect way, I have contributed to the coding of Tradewars. lol

This game happened about 3 years ago, and I tested it when the next version came out and just as JP said he would, he changed it to where the bonus did NOT work in fed.   Now I haven't tested it latelty, and I think there has been a couple of version came out since thenm so he could have changed it back.

Couldn't they just land and claim the planet or blow it?

Yes they could have, but like I said they didn't understand it, and just in case they did figure it out, I created about 10 corp planets at the dock.  They would warp in and hit me with a full load of figs, then all I would have to do is hit them once to take out their shields.  The worst part is, they were coming in through the backdoor to the stardock and I had the dock surrounded, so they had nowhere for the pod to go, so instead of just a pod, the were SD'd too.  lol
