Don't remember a nexus planet in SZ... but who knows. All I ever build are creepers and strikers. Creepers for a fast mobile, striker for some firepower.

Haven't seen the nexus in a SZ either.  I have seen that particular planet in a game I am currently in and really not too impressive.  75k ore cols, 50k cols on org and equ, fig production starts 3:1 (cols:fig) and goes to 4:1.  Day 0 lvl 2, Day 1 level 3 I think.  Max ore is 7.5M in the game I am in, but you never know when someone has given an edit their "own personal touch".  Not a bad planet, kind of a cross between a creeper and a striker.

Build a creeper or 2 on the first day, then build a bunch of strikers with the smallest number of cols possible on each. Spread them out over a bunch of sectors. Colo the creepers as much as you can, then get them going mobile. First extern and bam they're mobile.

Assuming you've got a red corpie cashing use that cash to buydown ore to the creepers and crank up the cannons to pod anyone they come across. Grid, explore, invade and use the creepers to help invade, grid and pdrop for the first few days.

A few days later (usually 3) the striker will be mobile and you can ore it up and move over the cols. You can then stack all of your strikers in a single area and defend them with grid defense and shielded creepers. Once the strikers go shielded dump the creepers. That is, of course, assuming anyone survived your gridding and invasions... which isn't often.

Use the creepers as an early warning door stop or for a cheap trap. They work pretty well for a cheap trap since you can zdy it after the enemy "invades" it... lol. But most unlims never get that far.
