The question was raised to me, and I'm drawing an almost complete blank.
What other popular door games were there on the old 80's bbs systems.
There was "Legend of the Red Dragon" but I know there were others I didn't play but were popular.

I use to play alot of them. only kewl one I remember is: B.R.E or Barren Realms Elite (use to be able to attack people on other servers, via some Renegade BBS addon). ..of course there were some games for adults that were really fun to play: Pimp Wars, and another similarly themed game.. hehe

Dominions was one we ran on our WWIV BBS. It was written in Pascal and we modified the heck out of it - including adding something some didn't care for - a Dominions version of T-Edit.

I also remember Kannons and Katapults. Very simple but fun. I think the list is pretty complete with Lord Talon there...
Did a little bit of research on some of them and it seems like they are all still supported and sold etc... alot like Trade Wars is through EIS right now.
Though the Wiki entries states that the code of Solar Realms was "lost" by the owner in like 1998 I think... That's too bad...

Does anyone remember how MajorMud came to be? Was it from the guys who did MajorBBS or is there no relationship? Or was it the Sysop of the MajorBBS?
I'm pretty sure there is a strong connection but my memory doesn't go that far. Seems like MajorMud is still out there.

I fondly remember a doors game called "Yankee Trader", a game a little like Tradewars but it played differently. Anyone remember that one?

I remember at one point I couldn't find a Tradewars game but could find several Yankee Trader games out there. I remember playing another clone but I forget the name.
Sadly Yankee Trader and this other one couldn't bring me the enjoyment I felt with Tradewars at the time. Sad really.
