I would like to thank all the Players and Great Friends that have played on Alien Base TWGS over many years.  This announcement comes hard for me but it is time to closed down Alien Base. I will be closing it on July 31st. I did make an announcement for some new game bangs and they will be my last.
I am sorry that I have been a little lax on banging games on a timely notice in the last year as my heart just hasn't been in it.  I was really hoping the  new version of TW would be something to excite me to carry on, but I just don't see it at this time.  The player base has dropped dramatically in the last year and I have decided it is time to let some of the great new servers carry the load.

River Rat you have always had one of the best servers, and I personally TY for running it all these years, you have done a great job and have done alot for the community. And I understand how you feel as I havn't even thought about tw for along time now.

AB was a great server. I lost a lot of games there when I came back and learned a lot from some very good players. I still remember getting wiped out by some noob named Kemper3 and the schooling he gave on invading my "un-invadeable" base.

Thats Bad News man. AlienBase Was a Favorite Haunte to many old timers in Boo! inc. Kav..Adomma..Animal...<<Cowboy>> and me ofcourse....
Game B Was always something everyone looked forward to.

As you know, AB was my favorite place to play for years.   A fast, reliable board, and an honest sysop is hard to come by.  Thanks for hosting Hell on Earth, Animal House, and Poker, for all these years and providing all the many other great games to play.  You will be missed.

Just goes to show everyone how stale Tradewars has gotten in the last 2 to 3 years. Major tournies used to draw 15 to 18 teams of 5 to 6 players on each team now lucky to get 4 to 5 teams. Just goes to show how boring the game has gotten.

Ah RR, it is sad to hear this news. Your server has been a TW corner stone for as long as I've played this game. It will be sorely missed.

I notice that you don't say you are retiring, so I hope you will still jump in for the occassional game or tourny, and I hope to see you there.

RR your server was one of the first ones I have played on and got taught some good things in the past that helped me get to be a good player in my time, and also has been a great server when I played around in the current, it will be sorely missed, and as far as sysops go you were the one I looked to for how I would like to run my server. It will be a loss for all when it goes down, it is truely a great place to play at, Thanks for all the years of service you provided, and I do hope you will still at least play on games still, cause you have taught me some things on games I have played with you in them.
