So I had an idea, was thinking of doing a big game. I kinda thought it would be a change and maybe help the newer players by having a 2 person corp game only have it one vet and one newer player on the corp. For the game edits i would say some lightly mod. stock or close to that. and say 2-5k turns and 10k sectors. this would give the chance for new players to get some help and make some contacts. I dont know just an idea, maybe just sounds better in my head. |

Thats a great idea, you and Zilla could team up, bury the hatchet, as it were. It would be like a Father/Son Game Cerne |

Kane, you're not the first with this idea, but it's still a good one. There's seasoned players on almost every board out there. And most of them are happy to offer assistance if asked. But seems that to many new players come into the game with a chip, and if they get smart, seasoned players just take them out. This is called learning by hard knocks I too have considered taking players into a corp I play on and helping them learn the ropes. Three times now, after getting the player setup in TWX and helping them locate and download some basic scripts, then setting them up with a new ship and set up in a base in a game, they fail to show any longer and in some cases have created issues in game. |

Well I agree and have help a few new players out, well atleast the ones who want it, but i was thinking more on the lines of people who have played a little but really needed the help. Not really a bring a friend to work or anything . Anyhue stupid idea. Ill just let it die like TW is. |

River Rat wrote: Kane Thanks for trying to get something going as things seem to be at an alltime low. River Rat Got any other ideas. I've been thinking about it for a little while now but kinda stuck on getting things going. Im kinda leaning for more of a relaxed game, although it probably wont turn out that way. So, maybe just wait till things pick up a bit. I mean I hate to see the game get even slower but... Mostly I hope its like Sing said before its the summer. |

I'm sorry, am I not s p e a k i n g s l o w e n o u g h f o r y o u ? I was responding your post. You have TWGS Sysop next to your picture, put up a server with the game you want. If you run it they will come... They always do. Cerne |

I do believe this is in Trade Wars Open Discussions, not smack forum...so COOL IT and yes Kane, I agree with Sing, with better weather TW always slows down.. and yes it will prolly get worse as summer is here, and then pick back up when it starts to get cold and more peeps huddle indoors. |

Well with people taking vacations and such it usually slows down in the summer. I also think people are getting bored with the same old games. Actually many of us are playing Tribal Wars for a change of scenery. It's alot of fun. BG |
