Gotta say it's been about 4 years now since I was active in TW. I may have retired from active play but TW has always been in the back of my mind while I was off playing in the FPS realm of COD and the like. The online shooters got boring and filled with hackers. In my pursuit to to find some games to kill time with I thought back to my long TW history and thought what the heck.. I had lots of fun and I don't need a $1500 high-end mega ram super-duper processor computer to look at ansi text now do I I was thinking of getting back into turn based play and thought I'd see how the community's going and if this old dog could learn some new tricks. |

Well , there is a new tradewars in development. It's called TradeWars : Tournament, turned based but with graphics this time. The forum is based on http://www.syliengameclub.com you should go give it a look. The server of the game is down today (I guess for maintenance) but they already are at the closed beta and talking open beta. |

That is actually what re-sparked my interest a few months back when I got the survey email from them. |

Laff, well... the problem w/ graphical play is that it slows things down. We'll see how all that works out, of course, but this forum is for the ANSI version. Anyway in the last 4 years a lot has changed. The basic stuff remains the same, but the details of how they're done... that's changed. I wrote this for people returning... |
