Well, there was Vulcan, then I read somwhere around here that Prom is dealing with RL issues, now this.
I've been communicating with Darkstar setting up my site, and I was just asked by him to relay this:
Darkstar wrote:
[14:25] Darkstarbase: I am sorry I havent been around.. I live with my father and his sister... she has terminal lung cancer and its a little hectic around here.
[14:25] Darkstarbase: I know the server is suffering
[14:25] Darkstarbase: but it will still be there when all is past.
[14:26] Darkstarbase: I will have more time in a while
[14:27] Darkstarbase: Sad.. we are waiting for a loved one to die and it gets a little hard to think of much else.
[14:28] do me a favor and let people know that I am dealing with real life at the moment and will be back when I can. That the server is staying up.

I edited my end of the conversation out.
I'm beginning to wonder if I want to continue in TW, but lets keep all these folks in our thoughts and prayers

We are a community and even though we bicker among ourselves and trash talk we still show empathy for those dealing with RL issues that we all have to deal with sooner or later.

The RL issue I am dealing with is with a very close friend and he passed away Monday after fighting cancer for the last year. In February he was looking forward to his last chemo and getting back to work - the last treatment is when they found a new tumor that was growing. The tumor ruptured two weeks ago and he was given a few days as it would not stop bleeding. Joe was 28 and leaves behind two very young daughters and a young wife.

Joe Scott fought cancer with an upbeat attitude and faced his losing battle of the last two weeks by making those around him laugh with his jokes. I will always remember the dignity and strength he maintained in his last days.

I've said it before in a post, never take for granted those in your life will always be there and make sure you let friends know how much their friendship means. Joe's mother and father now have to do what no parent should have to do, and what I've done - attend the funeral of their child.

Joe - rest in peace and may God be with you.

I feel for you Prome, and for Dark, and I know first hand as well don't take for granted that your loved ones will always be there, and always let all know how much I love them and how much their friendship means to me, Prome, that is a good philosophy to live by, and hope that your pain and Dark's eases up as the days pass, mine is getting better, and now my family is regathering themselves, and now realizing the effect of our loss.

I can only hope my family can recover enough to deal with what happened. I got prepared for it a long time ago, and made it a point to be there for my dad as much and often as I could, just to be with him, and let him know he was loved.

Thanks to all for their love, friendship, and support, when I needed it, now lets all help the others in need with it as well.

Prome, Dark, if you guys need anything or someone to talk to, I am here for you guys. Just let me know.

My prayers go out for you and the families involved as well.

Just too clear things up, I was joking about the not wanting to continue in TW.  I'm here to stay.
I was just thinking that there's a lot of this kind of thing going on in the community, kind of like a curse, and not sure I wanted to continue for that reason. But from the rash of messages I got sending their condolences I decided I'd better clear this up.  Sorry for the misunderstanding.>>

These things have or will happen to us all in time. Those going thru it can seek words of solace from those that have gone before. However there are no words of comfort only understanding. Peace and Fair Winds  to Dark and Prom.

There are just NO words to say to someone when they are expecting that someone special to pass away or they have passed already.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
