The problem is it isn't easy to find...

On the left-hand side at the bottom is a little picture "Runaway proton's newspage." The print is a bit... eh, small. And images make confusing links, but there it is.

ANYWHO, as to the news:
I think the extern is fine, however, he's also banging games that much earlier also, which means if you *don't* live on the east coast, more than likely you won't make the game bang, which means you can't play.
Staying up until midnight has been a staple of tradewars play since it was first concieved long ago.
When I was 10 years old, sleeping over at a friend's house, at midnight we'd start calling into the bbs over and over trying to get in, to get the advantage of being the first person in after extern.
Now today, it's still kind of the same, except anyone can be online.
And honestly, if you *have* to sleep by midnight, how hard is it to keep a keepalive/bot going?
Since mailman bangs mostly unlims, I think it's a mistake to mess with the time, since most unlims won't make it to the first extern anyway and the only thing that means is that anyone *not* on the east coast can't play it.

There, I made it so even a chimp can find it now.  The link addy may change at times, so this is the link you need to use.  Anyway, I spelled it out in black and white with an arrow pointing toward the link pic.

That is a matter of personal preference, and I won't try to find fault in that.  Just wanted to make sure you weren't having problems with joining if you wanted to.
