I thought that in order for the game to count you as dead, your pod had to be destroyed. That there is a difference between being dead and being blown up. In the solo tourney starting to night, deaths = 5, tournament = 1 and death delay = 0 My understanding is that getting podded will increment "Times Blown Up = 1" and 'deaths = 0' While if you are podded then your pod is killed, "Times Blown UP = 2 but Deaths = 1. Am I totally off here? Cerne |

Getting podded counts as a death. But to be eliminated from the game after 5 deaths you need to be ship destroyed. |

Thanks Stockton, now I understand how/why Kane won that death match. I thought you had to get #SD# to get a death not just podded. Now I have some scrambling to do to update my posts. Cerne |

So if there is a death limit with tourny mode on once u hit ur max deaths at your last death your out wether you have a pod left or not it just eliminates you and boots you from tthe game. |

There is a world of difference between getting a ship shot out from under you and being killed (ie #SD#). At least it seems like that to me. Otherwise why 2 pods per day (the third you are #SD#). I do know that if you are podded twice between externs the third pod is straight to #SD# whether your ship has a pod or not. I would imagine that with no death delay, the 4th and 5th time between externs would be straight to #SD# The nice thing is that the game will manage it regardless of my misconceptions about this issue. It is set for 5 deaths, no death delay and tourney mode on. Cerne. Sing? Help! |

I don't like that fix... i think its cool that you can be above your death limit and still flying around hehe.. In corpwars 2 i had like 16 deaths in a 10 DL before i was eliminated |

Hmm... I don't know if it was fixed or not. Last year we were in a game and on the last day one of our corpies got over his death lim while mothing. We had him sit out once he had his 2 pods, but he wasn't #SD# and kept right on playing. Any time you lose a ship, whether zyrain because of fed or CEO-ship or experience, or blown on a planet or port, or on haz or on figs, or even fusing... it's all a death. Edit: Ok we just tested this on my test server and it has NOT been fixed. You still need to be #SD#. We did an edit with a 2 death lim. He took 2 pods and stayed alive. On this 3rd pod he was #SD#. I checked tedit for the last day allowed in thing and it said "today" but wouldn't let him on because of the death lim. We then did a 2nd test and set the limit to 1. First pod, he warped out. 2nd pod, he was still alive. He then logged out and back in to test if game entry was a factor and it let him back on w/o a problem. He's still in the game, 2 deaths in a 1 death limit game. |

Like I tried to explain to you when you lost your DM to Kane. I'm glad you're finally able to pick up on it. |
