Trader Vic has agreed to host 3 games for a solo player Tournament.

Game 1 - Pirates - 10k sectors/5k turns - 5 death limit/No Death Delay
Game 2 - Art of War - 5k sectors/1k turns (2 day turn bank) - 5 death limit/No Death Delay
Game 3 - Starwars - 20k sectors/Unlimited turns - 5 death limit/No Death Delay

All games 1 man corps, no truces, no stalemates, don't play your turns for 4 days and you are deleted.

To win the tourney you must win 2 out of 3 games.

The start date for the first game (Pirates) will be Friday Night, March 16th at 7pm PT/10pmET.

The second game date will be set after we have a winner for Game 1.

Game 2 will be the Art of War
Game 3 will be Starwars

No need to sign-up, just show up at game time. The game will be closed an hour after the start at 8pm PT/11pm ET.

What rules you ask? None except no duping or whining.

Vic is going to bang all three edits for practice on Friday, March 9th, using the same settings above. This is to ensure everyone who wants to play is familiar with all three edits and that we have the settings exactly right.

The edits were chosen to require the widest solo playing skill set.  I think the best all-around player will win. But I am not going to go through all the crap everyone put Bud through. If you have a problem with the settings or you don't think you can win 2 out of 3 then you should skip this tourney.

PS I posted this on Vulcan, Outpost, Ultimate and TraderVics so you dont have to post the same question in every forum

Im not putting you through any crap. I asked a valid question. Alot is going to depend on amount of players. I would like an answer though. im not giving you crap. just trying to help. So.... what happens if three different players win the games? How will that be handled?

If you had 3 different winners, then I would think a closed game between the 3 with winner take-all would be appropriate. Now an edit that the three would agree to might be hard to come up with, but most likely doable.

And it can be discussed by the three winners if it happens. lol

I don't think it will. What's the point of signing up if you don't think you have a shot at taking two out of three? Hell, what if the same trader takes the 1st 2 games?

Bottom line.... Sign up, play, have fun, kick Butt and let the losers whine.

If a trader takes the first 2 games, the tourney is over since no one else can win. Why am I stating the obvious? Besides this set of games is for players not nit-picking TW Lawyers.

Hate to be **** about this but Standard Time ends this year around March 11 instead of the usual first Sunday in April.
And another thing anyone running on W2K will have to manually reset their timezone as Microsoft is not supporting anything earlier than XP.

I'm not gonna play because I can win the last 2 games but can't win the first game now if the order was different.

I keed I keed.
Just trying to throw a little more fuel to this flame war.
