Super, so if an EIS member doesn't like who I nominate, they can just delete it, and if I complain about it, if anyone else nominates it, it becomes invalid anyway.

Also, while you won't challenge votes, you'll sure as hell do everything in your power to curve the nominations to whatever you feel they should be.

Take a whiff guys, smell it, baby thats democracy at it's finest.
Ok, now shut your window and smell again, yup, thats EIS stinking it up with it's evil dictatorship-like stench.

NONO, it says harrassement. It doesn't say that just because we dont like it, it can be deleted.

Honestly, no member of EIS should have ANY right to delete ANY nominations.

Slim, you just don't get it, it says no challenging of the votes, when the nominations are over, and says that no harrassing of the people who have to tabulate the votes, or will invalidate the vote.

By this, it means this as you should see, if the nominations are done, and I tabulate the nominations and place (lets say) the top 5 up for votes, it means do not challenge them, whether or not you feel they are right, but they will be right, cause they will be counted per criteria and the top 5 will be listed, that means the top 5 that got the most nominations.

These rules aren't there to control the votes by admin or mod, they are there to keep people from cheating and rigging votes, Cause I can verify the IP addys of the nominators, and also will be looking for multiple noms in the same catagory from the same IP, I placed these rules to try to reduce cheating and nomination fixing.

Like it or not, I am trying to get these Awards done with little to no rigging, if caught trying to rig the nominations for the votes then all nominations from that IP will be invalidated.

The rule is that simple, and it will be enforced.

ender did the Awards last year, with my help, I am trying to make them a community thing now and put them in the the community they represent. I don't need no one trying to cause issues with the whole thing, I don't see anyone else stepping up to do it, I do these things like this for my community and try to contribute to it. These Awards may be a joke to some or a popularity contest to others, but they do serve a purpose, they provide some entertainment to all and gets us together as a community to do at least one thing as a community.

I am doing this out of my own free time and with any help I can get to do it. I don't ask for much from anyone, and will not now, if others want to help, then speakup, if not, then let me and the mods here do what we need to do to make this go smoothly. That is all I ask.

Now is not the time to cause trouble when we need to heal old wounds, and move on to better things.

dude, get on icq

and no, vulcan, you are completely missing my point.
Please, don't allow cheating.
But if the "PEOPLE" want to vote for something, LET THEM VOTE.
It's a POPULARITY contest for christ sakes, last year we didn't have enough people give a rats butt enough to compete with UTW so we lost, who cares, it just shows how much people DON'T care about the awards anymore.
Yet now, YOU come in, throwing punches right into the face of free speech in the name of "fairness".
Sure, as the way you see it.
Pretty much, you're trying to say, that if someone is popular, but YOU don't like them, they can't win the popularity contest.
Thats just wrong dude.
And doing it in EIS's name... sigh

I intend to let them vote, the purpose of that rule is the challenge from the ones who make the multiple nominations from the same IP or others that want that to count, sorry forgot to clarify, will have to make sure it is in the rule.

All these rules are funny.

Let me guess, ya'll aren't busy enough in your real life now and need yet another way to burn the hours? When I've got too much time on my hands I play this game... perhaps you've heard of it, it's called TradeWars 2002. It used to be a door game, but some guy ported it to telnet and now you can play for hours at a time.

Try it, you might like it. =)

Actually I learned it by searching on the forums. It has to do with prompt changes... =)

I'm sure you can find it by searching for shield rider or planet rider stuff.

Conservatives don't believe in democracy? Hmm, I wasn't aware of that, thank you for that information.
I always wondered what I was, liberal or conservative, I guess you answered that question for me.
