.Best Twars Support Site for 2006 This thread is to nominate any website that is primarily an Tradewars 2002 site, it can be for any faucet of the Tradewars experiance. Ex, Downloads, Information, Forums, Graphics or some other service to the Trader. Well my vote is going to Thrawn and his Outpost4 Tradewar Academy Server and website.Imho its the site from this year that provides the absolute best place for new and returning peeps to get info on and learn the game. He's even got movies for pete sake. Kudos to Thrawn and thanks you for helping increase the player base and the comp. |

So, because it won last year, it stops being the best? We have to accept 2nd best because it has already won? Besides, don't dare compare this joke of an attempt at an awards to past TW awards. This is at best a mockery |

So your opinion must make all of Thrawn's hard work worthless? Have you been there? I think not.The content at Outpost-4 is more comprehensive and interactive than Cabals which has been archived and moved to a support page at navhaz.com.Try and keep up Slim. |

Really, in my state it's illegal to campaign on voting day. Also, I've never once seen the person running the poll, stating who they are voting for, and who I can NOT vote for. So, because I think the cabal is the most informative site, I therefore think that someone else is "worthless"? Wow, you really have some serious logic issues going on. As for it being "more interactive and comprehensive" where do you think he got most of that information? Himself? I doubt it. I'd be willing to bet he read the cabal just like every other player who wanted to know an answer. Parrot, sigh.. |

I nominate EIS. For this thread specifically: Start at the top, but read the 6th post down For those too lazy to click... This was back in Sept of 2006, when EIS was regularly getting spammed by a guy from China touting WoW cheats. Amazingly, he's STILL not banned as of this writing. Anyway, before the whole thing gets deleted in a history re-write, here is what Kav said, and what I said: Kavanagh wrote: It amuses me that this SPAM is left here, and the spammer retains posting rights. My posting rights were removed by Kemper3 aka Harley Nuss, a few months ago, because I remarked on his censorship policies. John Pritchett restored them to me, for which I thank him. K3 subsequently resigned from EIS in a hissy fit. My posts warning about the USO debacle (before the game even banged) were deleted by the moderators as "inappropriate". I guess I should have prefaced my posts with SPAM, or maybe a Ponzi scam. Traitor wrote: Kav, I have yet to get one complaint from the owner or the other admins about the job I do here. I have only gotten one serious complaint from the user community, and that was from you. I understand and sympathize with your side, but I would do it again. However, I'm about fed up with moderating here myself. But for different reasons than K3. Lately, I feel like I'm the only mod who enforces the forum rules. I don't even like the rules. But if I was a sysop, I would like a neutral place to post my rebangs. Someplace where the threads wouldn't get bogged down by complaints or whining. There are plenty of other areas that people can post their opinions about various boards. Bethel's thread on his game A is a prime example. I finally locked it. I asked the powers that be to do something about it. 24 hours later, no 3 day bans, no nothing. So I finally deleted it. (sorry Bethel) Perhaps K3 was a bit too ban happy. Maybe that's why they don't let me do it. I woulda given out 3 day bans to all the peeps involved in that thread if I could have. I would have told them why, of course. All of them have been around long enough to know the rules. And it's such a simple rule. No smack in the rebang forum. But it's pointless if it's not enforced. I don't think I can enforce it, so why bother? I feel that if it's so important to the owner and the admin to continue to have this rule, then they need to enforce it, or empower the mods. I'm gonna go away for a while. This is why I left. And this is why I won't be coming back as a mod. I may have worked out some things with Zen and the other mods, but this is still a core unresolved issue. And I see things only going downhill from here. I think I really did get out at a good time. Oh, and Parrothead, I was advocating the use of sector parameters before Sing even knew what one was. |
