Greetings to the TW Community;
For those that were aware, we had been set to move from the West Coast of BC to Alberta in the summer of 2007. My posting had been set to move the family to Edmonton, AB. This meant that the sites were going to close and then reopen once we moved. Due to my involvement with Emergency Services (Search & Rescue), the military, and receiving a job opportunity, our location has changed.
What has happened is I have received a job opportunity that will keep me here in BC. I still serve SAR, and have switched to Reserves. The site is now pretty much automated, with the ScoreKeeper running the sites and game rebangs. I will be around to complete the Academy, plus will be available to assist the OCS Server.
I have named Oso as the Co-SysOp to the TWA OCS server. He will be available to assist those wanting a game slot, or field any questions players may have. I am also working on the final Bot for the OCS server, then moving on to complete the SWATH section and history of TradeWars section. I will need players to act as Instructors on the OCS, and will post my request when we are set. The actual opening date of the OCS server is 01 Jan 2007.
I would like to thank everyone here in the TW Community for all the support, comments, suggestions, ideas you have given us over the years. I am very grateful to everyone for being patient and allowing me to ramble about this project. I could not have done this or had the vision without your input. The players have been a great help with their ideas and suggestions. There are people that contacted me about being instructors and I am grateful for them helping as well. I particularily wish to thank people like Singularity, Oso, RexxCrow, Darkstar, Lonestar, theReverend, Traitor, and Promethius for their direct involvement with the phases I implemented at TWA. Without you, I could not have finished these phases on time. I also wish to thank John Pritchett, and SWATH for allowing me to do this using their software and their support. They even allowed us to create our videos and have been great support.
So, from my home to you, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I depart for a trip to Alberta on 23 Dec 2006 to spend Christmas with my family. I am set to return on 28 Dec 2006. Take care, and see you in the New Year.
