The history of Trade Wars has recognized the influence of other games and also that some games use Trade Wars as their influence. While we all realize that this is a Trade Wars site, we also know that to lose games that are a part of its history - if only for the commonality that they share - would be a major loss. Space Cowboy brought this problem to light in trying to find a specific file. Zentock has a very good idea for helping others find games of the Trade Wars genre such as Yankee Trader and others. I am not going cover what Zen's idea is, other than to say I think it would be a very good thing to do. Zentock can post what he is thinking. |

Very good. It is important to know the history and be able to keep it alive, rather than discarding when no longer needed. |

That's why you make a backup of the important punch cards with a hammer, chistle and a good piece of granite. Granite... now that's a data backup solution you can REALLY count on! btw... If anyone wants to put together a more comprehensive history section along with related files I'd be happy to mirror it. |

Our Academy site has been working on a history section which included some of the other games that eventually led to TradeWars and such. If you are serious, I can zip and send to you. Either e-mail or hit me up on ICQ and we can discuss. Whatever is easier. ICQ is 209782543. |
