Noticed it earlier, the IIS server seems to be requiring auth at the moment. You can still go directly to the forum tho: http://vulcansforge-online.net:99/forum/ |

I have been hit hard by spammers this week. I delete 5-8 a day from the website. Its a trend. Its coming from all over the world. I dont know if people here are using jump/shell accounts or what. I have banned about 30 different IP's in the last 6 weeks on the website. |

Actually it was earth and me working on the main server to make it more secure, Thrawn, and other sysops, look at your server logs for the server computers and see if you have a whole string of attempts to connect to the server and failed. This means a hacker is trying to get in the server. I have had a Hacker or some dimwit trying to hack in my main server due to my main admin account having to stay connected to the server to keep the TWGS running. Becaues TWGS don't setup as a service too well in server 2003. earth and I installed a program that lets me run the TWGS as a service and it is working great, so that avenue is cut out for hackers to try to break in through an open connection, also Zen and I were working on securing the forum, I still have to get some more things for making the forum more secure. But at the moment it is better than it was before, sorry for the inconvience to all that had a hard time connecting to it while the changes were being put in. BTW whoever was hacking in couldn't get passed my password, I use special long encrypted passwords of my own design that were a project of mine and a friend, who is no longer here. |

Each time I access your site it asks for authentication (challenge response). Let me know when all is good so I can get a snapshot of your site. As far as any hack attempts, let's just say that all info not only is logged, but I turn over the logs and info to the local authorities I deal with. Already have shut down numerous hackers to date. I'll keep monitoring regularly. |

I dont get the challenge going directly to the forum just to the main page. And I think the issue is with the left side frame because if I just cancel the challenge, the large right frame opens just fine but I get a "restricted" white IIS page for the narrow left frame that holds the links Cernnunos |
