I'm back into the game after a long time. Got lots of questions you guys have heard lots of times but figured it doesn't hurt to ask.
What is the most effective way of clearing large amounts of fighters out of a sector that has large quasar cannon attack power from two planets available?
Like I said, I've been out of the game for quite a while so I don't really understand all these scripts quite yet.
There are 2 level 7 planets, I've got their shields down below 200 now. There are 11 million offensive fighters.
I get blasted for nearly 500k from the quasar cannon when I enter the atmosphere of one of the planets...
If somebody could just lead me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Thanks
PS. It's a rogue planet so nobody is maintaining it.

id say leave the offensive figs, photon under the figs and cannon. c p y 1234 ^M q m 1234 ^M ^M^M^M l 5 ^M
replace 1234 with sector number, and 5 with the planet number

I agree leave the figs but maybe you should tell him what c py (sector) ^M q m (sector) is he may not know about macros if he hasnt played in a while.
demoman, what helper are you using? Most have a Photon and move script that will also land you on the planet. If you photon and move in to the sector fast enough figs wont attack and if shields are low enough cannons wont work, that just leaves the figs that are on the planet.
Hope that helps alittle if you have any more questions keep asking, also helps to get Icq or another messenger to chat one on one with other players.

I'm using SWATH right now.
That makes sense me what you guys are saying, but how do you get all that in within 5 seconds and get out of the sector?
I'm assuming that the planet has more than 50000 fighters which is what my maximum ship attack force is for one attack.
I'll try out setting up that macro. Just wondering what the " ^M " stands for just cause you've got that in there quite a bit.
I appreciate the help.

Demonman you may want to go to Grimy Trader to get TWX Proxy as well, the TWX scripts are the fastest for game play, and there are tons of scripts there for TWX and other helpers.
Here is the Addy to it.

Oh, Welcome back to the game.

Getting out of the sector... if there's an IG you'll have to xport, tpad or pwarp out (depending on the edits and what you have) if you can't finish it all within the wave. If you don't think there will be many planet figs you can also lock tow and bring in another ship with you.
Something like...
Code: w n 99 ^M c p y 1234 ^M ^M q m 1234 ^M ^M ^M ^M l 5 ^M ^M j a 50000 ^M j a 50000 ^M ^M j o c q r ^M x 99 ^M ^M l 5 ^M ^M j a 50000 ^M j a 50000 ^M j o c q r ^M x 66 ^M ^M w n 99 ^M m 2345 ^M ^M
Lengthy... but not too difficult.
Photon, go, land, kill figs, lift, xport, kill more, leave.

I tried using the macro and it worked flawlessly. Turned out the planet had 10 million fighters on it .
Thanks for the help, I'm sure I'll be asking for more expertise.

10 million figs? In that case photon under the figs, create 20 new planets in the sector, leave and let them collide at extern.

make sure to *always* photon in, if you moth it down to nothing and think you're safe to blast those shields and take on the figs, you will have a suprise.
there is a bug with rogue planets that the fuel updates when a person lands, no one has landed in a long time, so it very well could get back 10million fuel ore to blast you into itsy bitsy pieces (not to mention possible offensive military reaction from the fighters on the planet)
actually, i just read a bit more, looks like you landed, atmosphere must be turned off? meh, still, always photon in on rogue planets regardless of their sector Qcannon damage.
