Someone is attempting to bring back a recasted Star Trek Original Series and while it seems like a joke these guys are serious. They seem to be financing it themselves and are producing episodes strictly for free download on the internet. (Due to licensing issues they can make no money what so ever) The Pilot episode is SO SO at best but Episode One, In Harms Way, shows some real professionalism. Its not half bad. There next episode comes out Thanksgiving day and guest stars Walter Koenig! They seem to take real pains to keep it in the spirit of the 60’s series and must have got a hold of a ton of the old sets and props. Its worth a look.

Heres what the guy who started it has to say on the home page

It is hard to believe that 40 years have passed since fans first tuned in to Gene Roddenberry's vision of a future filled with Hope, Optimism and Adventure. The fan films are a vital part of Star Trek and its history. No other franchise on the planet can boast of such a dedicated and vocal fanbase! It is our dream that CBS/Paramount will someday license and/or support these fan films. They already license fan fiction through their pocket books division. This would be the next logical step! We spend a lot of our time and money to make New Voyages, because, we still believe in the positive ideals of Gene Roddenberry. We are grateful to CBS/PARAMOUNT for 40 years of this enduring legacy, called Star Trek, and for letting us play in their sandbox. We here at New Voyages support and thank them.

Nice site and the episodes aren't too bad either, I checked a few, they get better as they go, and the original Checkov is in an episode as well. Thanks for the site info.
