The USO2006 is over with a 3 way tie for Winner. Due to unforeseen problems with corrupted files in the game and not sure if they were completely fixed or if the problem will arise again I have made the decision to call the game and declare a 3 way tie.

First off I would like to thank Vulcan of Vulcans Forge for doing a fabulous job in hosting the game. He bent over backwards to make things work. Did we have some problems, yes we did. One edit for the red ship was done incorrectly and was not noticed till after the game began and the rule I made was tht once the game began Vulcan would not go into tedit which I might add was his rule also. We had a problem with ports and once again it would entail using tedit and we would not do that. So they had to live with it.

This game was advertised with the stated conditions for winning as "the last team standing." This was reiterated mid-game when other corps requested that the game ending be changed, and that no changes to game rules or any other changes would be permitted mid-game.

It is my understanding from Vulcan's posts that the game files are NOT corrupted, and the he feels that the game is playable.

That you have decided to call the game under the pretense that either Vulcan's statements are false, or that the same circumstances are likely, is catering to those corps who requested a change to the initial format of the game.

Since corps 1 and 5 have decided to quit, and have attempted to end the game previous to this, Corp 4, The Royal Flush Gang, as the LAST REMAINING CORP STANDING, in accordance with original game rules, must be declared the sole victors.

Any corp who wishes to dispute the SOLE VICTORY of Corp 4, The Royal Flush Gang, may feel free to continue the game with the current conditions (ie after the disasterous 2nd extern on the same day).

I would echo Slim as much as I hate doing that. Give congrats to those that played and played well, thank Bad Girl for setting it up and Vulcan for hosting and move on. It isn't the first game that had problems and Darn sure won't be the last (unless people get tired of the hassle of setting up/hosting a game).
