Oh gee, gridding now is such a breeze... its already a near impossibility to grid and now we are gonna have turn delay? sounds like fun in a 20k verse having to enter and x out, or call in planet to every sector you enter... uhh maybe next time for me..

It was such a great game, well thought out, and I went ahead and registered, but in true Ender fashion I didnt read the whole list of specs, and didnt see turn delay. I think with turn delay on, this game wont be alot of fun. With 3 big teams, its not like gridding is going to be a walk in the park anyway. But I guess i'll just be slower than I already am.

HEY!!! listen i understand some people dont like the setting.,..

I'm Aware the setting is an unpopular one.

If you don't like the game settings then just dont play!!!
It's not like anyone is forcing you to to play a game you don't like!

Our Beloved game of TradeWars does not need anything Negative!!!

Again IF you dont like a setting VOTE WITH YOUR FEET!!

I'm Just trying to promote a game that i have designed...

SG,
How you gonna make the G-Torp too spendy? Max cost for anything is 4X base cost. Just make all the ships unable to hold g-torps.

you are right sg, the insults were low of me. I appreciate you trying to organize a big game and you know i was pumped for one. I live for these type of games so obviously even if nothing is changed i will sign up because i want to be part of a big game like this. I am all about new things in tw and this whole set up is new, i just fail to see the point of turn delay, i dont get what it adds to the game that makes it better. Maybe you havent played in a serious game lately but the torpers out there today are amazingly fast and gridding with no turn delay is already something that takes skill, timing, and knowledge. Last i will speak of it, im gonna sign up but still hold out hope you will change your mind on this as most ive talked to feel its a necessary fix too.

Stockton i will re evaluate that one setting..reluctantly i will review again ...

My thinking was this "EVERY" game we play anymore has NO Delay.

I mean the game has settings for different amounts of MOVE delay...
Does EVERY game we play NEED to be NO Delay???
IF thats true then why even have different settings????

I also felt that TW now a days has just TOO much freaking gridding....

I WISH there was a way to also have Planet Move delay.....

When we played bote 99 2000 2001 and uso 00 01 02 we didnt really have the kind of Gridding we do now.

You are right there SG. But also scripts are far more advanced than than they were 4-6 years ago. With the speed of current p-dropers and twarp scripts a ship delay makes the game hard to grid. In todays game of tradewars the grid is part of what helps to win the game. If you control the grid and more than likely yo control the game.

Hehe, one good thing about a ship delay means that p-busting at sd is a piece of cake now. Also means more 2 ship, planet griding going on.
