Hey all, Merry Christmas to ya'll... wanted to let you all know that my thoughts are with you, vader, vulcan, orion, speedy, bud, loc, alex, traitor, akor, all of you guys... yeah, even you zentock, and any of you I missed, trust me, too many names to list, but your all in my heart and mind. Consider this your christmas card - We've shared many years together, some of us, just weeks, we play together, work together sometimes, we've cried, died, and survived together. My heart goes out to you and your family, the trials and tribulations of life sometimes superceed our expectations and now & then we are not prepared for the course that our creator has laid ahead of us. When you need me, I'll be there. On the phone, in person, in chat, I don't care. I understand how hard life can be, in difficult times. I've been in the ditches, crawled through **** to earn my meal for the day, I understand the lows of the lows, and the highs of the highs. I'm better than no one, I am my own person. So are you. Times may be rough for you and yours, or they may be great, no matter what, whenever you need someone to talk to, I'll be here. Merry Christmas ya'll - Love - Steffan Redhawk Some of you know I'm leaving for flordia tomorrow afternoon, I won't be playing TW until I get back, however, I will still be online now and then, and I'll be checking my messages and mail. My phone never gets turned off (unless I'm scrumping) so if you have my number, feel free to call.. I love you all, have a safe and happy holiday! Steff |

Hey, cool. A Christmas card. As a history buff I can say that it originated from the observances of the sun. Each year since time imemorial around the day in what ever the calender they used as the equivalent of January 1, December 21 to be more precise----a little closer to the current December 25 celebration day, was a time of joy since that meant that the sun, having dropped further South each day for the past six months causing the season to turn from a nice warm one to a frosty cold one, was now starting to go back up North toward the Northern dwellers who originated this festival. This was the only good news in the whole of the Winter season for them. As a further note, the ancient astronomers also noticed that the year was an odd number of days, 365, rather than an easy to divide 360 days. They used 360 for most astronomical calculations anyway (We still have 360 degrees of the circle orginally representing days of the year). So from the Ancient Egyptian times, the extra 5 days that weren't useful for calculations were times of festivities---kinda useless days where you could do useless things. So between the observances on the day when the sun started to go North again and the the observances of the 5 days that were useless for astronomical calcuations and so were tacked at the end of the year, we now have the holiday season---the time to party and to be with one's families and loved ones. But now it is 6 days that we have to party. They are still useless as we don't really plan on anything important during those 6 days. With this I would like to wish everyone a useless season of partying and of doing nothing important except to be with the ones we love and THEY are important. |

So, I'm watching the tube, and I see (on Fox I think) they are saying "happy Chrismakah" on some lame show. What I find strange is that the NeoCon-Rapture-Nazi's are all up in arms about the fact that retailers are encouraging their employees to say the neutral sounding "Happy Holidays", but they aren't bothered at all by the "Chrismakah" thing. I'm wonder what it would be like to go through life with that level of insecurity about your faith? It must be truly terrifying. I'm just glad the days are finally gettting longer. Happy Yulchrismakauhwanza everybody! |

What I find interesting is that you know the neocon-rapture-nazi's opinions on certian views I'll remember to buy you some shaving cream next christmas Sig Heil Hail Traitor lol... sorry, just teasin bro Ya know, I've been a member of the Native American Church since I was born, although I was baptised christian... honestly, I'm not at all insecure of my faith, I know who does what, and yadda yadda yadda, I could care less if the people next door light candles together as a family, or decorate a christmas tree and open presents together.. the point is, they're together, celebrating what they belive in. To you rednecks that aren't really religious, that's great too, just remember to crack open a bud or two, and spend some time with your cousins (wives for some of you) and have a safe, and happy holiday... It's time to be with our families, and friends, enjoying the spirit of the season! Steffan |
