What is the best way to moth a planet?

Any planet, any circumstances, if you must give multiple examples to ensure the thoroughness of your reasoning, please do.


I for one do not feel that you are qualified to be a moderator of this forum, this is my single, stand alone opinion, which I am choosing to voice. I have no power on this forum, so my opinion will not have any effect on your standings on this forum. I would just like to see if you listen as well as you speak.

Of the choices that have been made for moderators over the past week, I agree with one, disagree with one (Basically disagree with vulcan, though I have much love for him, I personally do not feel he has the technical advice that should be required for such a prestigious posistion), and strongly disagree on one (Zentock, I don't feel you have the game knowledge, let alone ANY technical expertise reguarding TW2002).

I do not feel that this is a question that poses a response, this is my personal opinion, although comments are more than welcome. I think zentock is a fantastic person, as is vulcan, each have their strongpoints in life, but not here.... ... Not in our realm.


Zentock, ur a great man, but step down from the posistion... ...IT WAS NOT CAST FOR YOU. Kemper was a great moderator, and gypsy, well, he could be when he wanted. This posistion should be offered to someone, who has taken the time to learn every aspect, and develope as not only a player, but as a programmer from every angle.

If there is any question in your mind that I want this posistion, clear it, because even if it were offered, I don't belive I would accept it. I'm not good enough for it.

I'd second that in a heartbeat, he's a curious little cuss, that's gonna take the place of spaceghost one day.... :) good guy akor is.

Moderators answer questions and help others out. If you do not feel someone should be a moderator, please email JP. I try and stay out of the TW politics. That is why i have lasted so long. Now you get a smiley :)

Hmm. My first intstinct is to answer the question. However, after counting to 10, I think I'll go with option 2.

Graz, your opinion on this matter is irrelevant. Until WE PROVE we're not fit for the position, by ignoring posts, or answering them all wrong all the time, or letting inappropriate posts slip past us, we've got the job. We will certainly either learn every aspect of the game in short order, or burn out. I say give us all a chance for a bit, until we sort out who's gonna handle what.

We all know how I fell about Zentoc but if we leave each other alone I think we will be just fine at least I hope so. ;)

I wished it would have just been left with Traitor and Vulcan to be honest Traitor has the knowledge of the game and I feel both will be fair when editing or deleting questionable content.

But we have to at least give Zentoc a chance here I guess it’s the only fair thing to do right.

Then I think I really don’t play this game anymore so what does it really matter to me I just stop by to shoot the **** during the day when I’m at work anymore.

Well I guess other moderators can answer the question.

I really wanted to see what Zentocks had to say about the issue so I could see what he knows and at what level he is at. Oddly he is a moderator here, and has remained silent when asked a question and let the other moderators do his work for him. I would have accepted at least a reply that said "I'm looking into it" or something.

I feel I should address this issue. First off, I am the one who has moved this post to the open discussions. While the question "what's the best way to moth a planet?" is valid for the tw school forum, the overall topic of this post isn't that question, but rather whether or not zentock is qualified to be a moderator of these forums. As such, this thread did not belong in the tw school forum.

Now to address the underlying issue that graz has raised. Is Zentock qualified to be a moderator of these forums? The answer is that there are no pre-requisites for being a moderator. You don't need to pass some sort of test, you don't even necessarily have to be an expert at the game. I will be the first to admit that there are things that I don't know about the game. What is important is that the moderator is fair. If he doesn't know something, that's fine, he can say he doesn't know. So long as he can assist with those things he does know and ensure that posts don't become inappropriate for the forums they are in, a moderator is doing his job. Will Zentock be able to do this? No one is going to be able to say for sure until he has had time to actually do it. The same goes for every new moderator here. You just have to give them time to show how they are going to handle it.

Finally, while I am sure that some people have doubts about new moderators, I don't think it's appropriate at all to come in here and try to bash any of them. Whether or not you like them, they ARE the new moderators and as such deserve to be treated with respect in these forums. Keep this in mind when making new posts. As my mother always told me, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
