Thought maybe some of you may be interested in this. While looking for one of the old games I used to play on the old bbs's (tw2) I ran across this game at http://ioresort.com. It's has a lot of similarity to Trade Wars, but has a lot of differences as well. It is based on a 4 million sector universe, and has ports and planets to trade, etc. It's a whole different animal after that tho. I found this game about a year ago, and I am hooked. If you are looking for something a little different, give it a try. There is a web interface, or you can use telnet on port 2323. There is also a client port at 666 which sends client info for those of you who know how to program, or can find a good client. If you are having problems getting started, just ask anyone online, most will be glad to help you get going. New game starts in about 2 weeks, so now would be a good time to get your feet wet before the new game starts. Hope to see you there.. Artemis |

Uh not that I have forgotten that this particular forum is for open chat, but what is up with all you people driving players away from twars? First EVE, then WoW (which I understand!), then this? Heh, i'll check it out anyway. But why does everyone want to steal TWars players?? |

Cuz we're already addicted to gaming... it's like selling crack addicts a new brand of crack. |

Will take a long time to get the hang if this game. One of the things that makes TW cool is autotrading scripts. I remember when I traded manually....boring. |

There are clients available.. I wrote a few zoc scripts to start off, but clients can do a lot more.. Here is one that I wrote.. Full of bugs, but it kinda works... http://home.insightbb.com/~jmjones/Art.zip There are a lot of screenshots of clients here: http://kry.is-a-geek.org/ And here are some basic clients, and one that does a lot of things, but it is somewhat tricky to figure out.. http://pages.videotron.com/sst/ and sorry, I'm not trying to steal TWars players. I still play TWARS from time to time, but since I found this game have been pretty addicted. Art |

I was JFWU you man. I would put "ignore me" in my signature, but what fun with that be? I checked it out, didnt seem to grab me off the paper. But then again, 4 million sectors? I'll never find my own sector then! Heh, Ender |

The sucker is addicting for sure. But no scripts. There is a good client though. We'll see how I like it after the new wears off. |
