EXTERN HANGS

 Extern runs automatically everynight at 12:00 Midnight. MY problem is it hangs and does not exit after completion. IT also takes a huge amount of CPU usage until I maunally go in and end the process.

I think I remember seeing something about that with some of the older windows. What are you running?

It's a problem that some people have with TWGS. As far as I know, no cause has been tracked down. For a while it was believed to be win2k specific, but there have also been reports of it happening on systems running winxp.

I should have added I'm running Windows Server 2003. AND This problem is relatively new the server has been up for over a year without this problem occurring.

Go into your TW# folders and check your TWMAIL.DAT .. if over 1 meg .. turn server off and delete. Vid Kid I am massively late thanking you. Your solution worked I deleted the twmail.dat and voila all is well. I did this way back then but only found this thread again today.
