Ok, where is Rincrast when I need him!? I was wondering, does anyone else believe the end of the world is PRECARIOUSLY (sp) close? Disaster after disaster, war, famine, destruction, open the book of revelations, have a peak inside, and Rincrast get over here and talk to me man! I was just wondering, anyone else belive its time to prepare for the end of the world? A joyous occasion on some points, but very very scary on all other plains, what do we think? Time to prepare to meet our maker? |

I don't know man, scientists have been buzzing about the California and Nevada fault line, Yellow Stone's hidden super volcano, and just last week they started talking about how the Earth's inner core is spinning faster then it's exterior. Then there is the infamous 100,000 year orbital cycle. I dont even want to think about what all this means, being especially that I live in... California! [:(] |

(Pulls up Bible belt) Well, I try and take everything in stride, but its kind of hard when you know the world is ending before your eyes. I mean, its SUCH a great thing to know that the lord is coming back, but its really like, why even go to work? Uh, I guess becuase I have to survive til he takes me back!!!! |

The true sign the world is ending is when I play Corp wars and I am the only survivor in the entire game and claiming uncontested victory!!!!!!. I dont believe in god or anything like that, but I do belive you can believe what you want. Your beliefs are not hurting me at all. So if your relegion is saying the end is near, kiss the world goodbye and leave me all your stuff |

Yes, the world is ending. Please donate all your stuff to the hurricane victims and then put on your bathrobe and wait in the middle of your lawn for your supreme being of choice to take you off my freaking planet. -OR- Grow up and realize that if the end of the world comes, it'll be the actions of men, not God that will bring it about. And rather than shrugging off all personal responsibility for it, get a clue and do something about it. Just like in TW, if you don't like how things are going, then VOTE for change. [rant] On another note, I can't freaking stand so-called "Christians" who just sit there and let things happen to them because they think that it's "God's will". We have free will. We can make choices. That's the greatest gift of all! It's also the entire point. Yet so many people are afraid of the great responsibility that comes with choice and simply throw it away. Better to live and die for what you believe in and have faith that things will work out, than to cower like a lump and never live because you let fear paralize your actions. Truely, all evil has it's roots in fear. [/rant] |

And the lord did smite him down for his insolence" |

The way i see it , if Jesus comes we will all be suprised. If err I mean when the world ends we can't do anything to prevent it.The ways of men are incredibly stupid and destructive ...it is a matter of time before God says screw it and press's the "easy" button and finally ends it.So dude chill have a beer ,pray and behave yourself as much a possible , maybe invest in a sherman tank and kill all those unbelievers......jus playing...i am also a baptist ...with strong irish/scot roots...God's commin to kick some unbelievin Butt repent or be vaporized mwahahahahahahaha.j/k. Peace out |

Belief isn't really the problem. It's how gullible some people seem to be. Since the beginning of time there has been war and rumors of war. There has been death, pestilence and famine. Predicting these as the portent of the final apocalypse is like predicting that tommorow the sun will rise from the east and set in the west. Real helpful there ace. If you can really see the future, why not be a little more specific so we can actually do something about it? Like "Hey guys, check out October 11th, 2030. It's not looking too good at the moment. At the very least... when the sun goes dark, DUCK!" I'm amazed by the number of people that believe in stuff like this. I've read better prophecies from fortune cookies. Seems to me that most of the talk about "an end of the world" is geared towards vague self-fulfilling prophecies. You believe they will come true in a specific way, so you look to find ways to either make them happen or to atleast rationalize your view with a tiny subset of the facts. Ironically tho, we live in a time of unparrelled peace, when disease and hunger is at an all time low. Yes, 90% of the world lives in abject poverty... but that beats the 99% from centuries past. Yes AIDS spreads and threatens to kill huge swaths of people, but how's that any different than the bubonic plague of the middle ages? As horrible as the events of today seem, atleast now there's some kind of response being mobilized to help deal with it. At the turn of the century a similar hurricane wiped out the entire town of Galveston Texas. Atleast these days we see the storms coming. Atleast these days we know what causes illness and can try to fight it. We're not just burning people at the stake because we think witches are the cause. Anymore. When John wrote the book of Revelations 99% of the people that read it believed that the beast was Rome, and that the anti-christ would be a Caeser. Then you had the crowd that gathered in cathedrals come the turn of 1000 AD, believing that surely God would come then... right? Every generation has people that scream "The end is neigh." And maybe it is, I don't know. But for all the people that have cried about the end of the world, none of them have yet to be right. Either way, there isn't thing one we can do about it except get on with our lives and try make the most of the limited time we have... end or not, we're all still mortal. I think it's a safe bet... if you were to ask God what irritated him the most about us... it's going to be all the stuff said and done in His name. A well-known preacher once said "God works thru the actions of men." I think the same is true of the Valley of Armegeddon and it's progeny. |

Peace? i think not , where ever there is a desire for power and prestige , war will always follow. There is an illuosion of peace , the media is controled by the corprate big wigs , and the media is the source of most of our information. The media only presents what it's corprate supporters approve. And the corprate system is a unbalanced and corrupt system ,they profit from wars and the rumors of the such. But they know that the public would be disgusted at there expliotation of the wars and the 3rd world countries , and therefore demand a change , thus threatening there way of life. The end is comming , there is no doubt , the law of thermodynamics demands it.But do not be deceived there is no peace , only periods of controled chaos..... |
