Fellow traders, I hope that Corp Wars proves to be a fun and challenging time for you all. This is, after all, supposed to be a fun game for everyone. I have great respect for anyone who takes the time to learn and play this game and it has been great getting to know a lot of you. After some debate, I was allowed to be replaced for the tourney as my scheduled surgery has had to be unexpectadely moved up. The Dr.s are fairly confident that they will be able to get the cancer and that they'll be able to resection my intestines and reconnect me. Praise God for that! What this means for me (besides resigning CW) is that I'll be in the hospital for about 10 days and home recouperating for 4-6 weeks after that. If chemo is needed post surgery they can do intraveneous and I can resume work at that time. I look forward to reading the logs of CW when I can and watching from the sidelines! I would also like to thank all of the traders that I play with often for their encouragement. Rick (Kaboom) |

My prayers are with you kaboom. My father had colon cancer recently thankfully the chemo took care of it; but it was a long fight and hopefully yours will not be so. |

Kaboom, You will be in my prayers as well, I know what it is like going in the hospital for these type of things, I have been there myself for some serious blood disorder that I have that makes my blood clot and can kill me, and so far the medicine the docs have me on are keeping things in order, and I hope the docs can do the same for you bro. We all are here for ya!!! Vulcan |

Wish ya' a safe and proper recovery to Kaboom, (oh and if you give your Doctor a healthy tip, they will do a much better job during the operation, hehee j/k!) [:o)] Here are some cheezy online games from a cancer information site to keep ya busy during your recovery, there are also links on treatments and symptoms of cancer for those interested. http://www.cancer-symptoms.org/games/index.htm |

Boom, I've sent out a prayer to you before, but I will send another, good luck brother, I hope that god leads you through a speedy surgery, and a quick recovery. Give your life to God, and he shall lead you through the darkness. God Bless |

We'll have to see what the next few days bring. I'd like to jump into a game with you and your boys again when I get back - similar to the game we're playing at Slags. That was a hoot. KB |
