As many of you already know, TDS has been down for the better part of a day. The reason is a software problem; I'm unsure exactly what, but I know that it will not boot into Windows right now, and I was unable to troubleshoot it effectively. SO, we might have a little downtime, and I'm unsure if the games will be able to be retained. I'll keep you all posted. Rin |

Rincrast, Check to see if the telnet service is started on the computer, if it is stop it, don't disable it just set it to stop. If it isn't the problem then you might have a regedit problem. But I think the problem is in the service setting, I had the same thing to happen on my server and it came down to resetting the admin service settings to stop the built in telnet service server. THanks for the thought, but it is an OS problem in this case. You're right though -- that issue sounds familiar from previous problems, but in this case, The OS is corrupted. It will not even boot into Windows. I tried a FIXBOOT and FIXMBR among other things, but we're still hosed. Rin |

Too bad about all of the problems.... A lot of people will miss TDS while it is down. I was amazed how long game U was lasting - I hope we can get another rematch going like that when server gets back online. KB |
