I am currently playing on Ultimatetw.com The game has been down since 11 pm Tuesday night and is still down as of right now and it is now friday morning at 1:30 am central time. The board used to be run by a man named solon but he quit and this new guy took over...incidently u cannot reach him on his email...u have to write him a message and sometimes he will answer but takes two to three weeks then other times there are no response...the website has not been updated at all in past month to reflect new games...and there is an unlimited game that has been going on for 13 months...what is yalls opinion on this subject.

- lists 140 current games. You can search by age, number of sectors, number of turns, etc.

even though its open discussions.. i'll keep my opinions of ultimatetw to myself.
HOWEVER
if you want to learn what the twars community thinks of this... board... do a search of old posts using the keyword ultimatetw
it's my guess you won't play there anymore... alot of people avoid it like the plague.
but, you'll have to read why in the past posts (or hit me up on icq)

Vader has the perfect link to know what is out there, the Stardocks TWGS Search engine. For good servers out there and for info on which ones are active and running games, Remember this addy that Vader is giving out. Even sysops use it to find games they can play on, I do!

Unfortunately, a lot of people run servers from home, without the benefit of redundancy. I would love to run my server from work, but there’s a big difference between $100 billion in resources, and the $100 me. 8-)

I’m currently serving over a 384k cable circuit with what I consider to be decent throughput. I would like about 10 players to try out my server, and leave me feedback while I tweak it (yes…falling subject to the occasional tedit if needed). I’ll post this request in the Rebang section. I figure…It’s TEXT. How much bandwidth could it need?

If you want to give it a shot, log in to tpcdev5.dnsalias.net 2002

I'm going to run the game for about 30 or so days, with aliens. Feedback will be used to bring the game closer to what players actually want. I will eventually run some tournament games as well, but again, the server is currently in the dev stage. After this dev period, I'll post on Stardock. Any takers?

~~Sis

I remember when you would start the Big Bang and then just go to bed.
None of this create a universe in 7 seconds stuff. Dag Nabbit!
