Well, i am so f-ing pissed right now, i log into a game i have been playing in for about 10 days, my CEO had played about 2. Like some idiot ***** he drops me from the corp then disbands it, i'm sitting behind a 2 sector deep wall of quasar cannons in a scout marauder, they are now all rouge, so all i can do is say **** it and lift off. Oh by the way the guy goes under the name of karl and it occured right after i invaded and destroyed all of another players assets. I've learned a valuable lesson today, when you go into a game don't ask people to join your corp, drop it so they can use your maxed corp flag with 255 holds and 2 turns per warp. Don't be an idiot like me. Oh and at twgs.net ZOOM is the only player with anything left unless karl claimed all my ****, excuse me our corps ****. prolly didn't tho. So you can rebang it ZOOMs the only guy left. |

Oh i know slim but well karl has nothing if he didn't claim the planets and yeah i would have been the only one not SD but hey, some people have no respect or sense of what's right and wrong, i was just steamed b/c it seemed i was in the lead in a couple ways not all though. Anyway how can you make a players life hell if he never plays and the only thing he does is log on make a planet, 7 days later log on again and kick me out of the corp. I do love how he logged in after i'de got murdered at dock to fix align saw i was on a planet that was claimed corp in a scout, kicked me out then disbanded. Didn't take anything to my knowlegde just kicked me out and disbanded. He could have had the uber ship ect ect but he just decided to boot me. I think and option should be installed that if someone is booted from a corp and he was the first person to claim the planet as corp should get it, not go rouge, figs dropped ect, that way this doggy move won't happen again to players who want to do this to other players. Like instead of corp 4 figs it would be corp 4 figs dropped by so and so, txt line limited but you get the idea, anyway it was just like getting SD'de you learn from your mistakes and besides i'm starting LOTR tonight with a corp whom i actually trust, (now for the plug) I invite you to do the same and join in if your not playing in BOTE it should be a fun game. |

Ok i'm back in, he has one main cluster but it can be taken, anybody care to help? Looking for 4 total guys to come in and teach this guy a lesson. |

Me and my corp had had the same problem. We took on a newbie too show him the ropes a few days later he tkaes fighters off one of my corpies and lays personal fighters on top of him. Then he blows several of are l6 planets killing himself in the process cause he didnt kill off the colonist(newbie move). He then dupes 3 other players too kill off the rest of my copries and kills 2 of his dupes blowing planets. He claims the rest of are planets personal when we log in he said he had made a mistake that another corp had found us and he was trying too move the base.Sysop gave us back 5 of are planets out of 20 we had which was great then other corps raided and took the other planets and i killed him off so he never came back.Shows that you have too becareful who you let join your corp. He went by the handle dragon and duped using the names lol l and cobleer one of my other corpies was cobler so i guess he was trying to be funny. So i feel your pain! |

Hey I might get my team in there, it seems that they got entered into the BOTE games Database a little later than the others, anyway they weren't able to log on at the time the game started and went into the BOTE with it all blockaded at about a half hour later and have been cheezed on from the beginning, I don't know How the BOTE is played now But in the beginning it was fun, at any rate I hope my Team doesn't give up. The best Players let you build to be on equal footing then went to war to see who is the best not cheeze you and blow you up as soon as you get on and try to go anywhere, simply because they were able to get logged on long before you got to, oh well my vent is over and such is life, and I will have another Team for the next BOTE, and hopefully they will do better. Yeah can't stand that you go into a new game that was just banged and some other corp kills you off when you dont even pose a threat yet. Well such is tradewras i would think they would want you too build up too become a better challenge! |

they could have let you build up to "stand a chance" but all it would have done would waste their time because even then your corp would stand no chance. im not ripping on you, i am just stating fact. Slim |

It doesn't bother me any, either way, I was stating a fact. Now a days it is the quick kill tactic and not letting everyone get on equal footing then everyone going at it all out, I guess people don't like their fights in the gameto drag out the way a "war" is suposed to, there is no real tactic in the quick kill method, but it is very effective. Just too add to the comments. This is BOTE. The purpose is to dominate. While many people don't realize it, the games outcome can be decided in the first few hours. Especially a tournament. Strong starts allow a strong finish. If you have a weak start, in a tournament, it is probably over. DU did exactly what should be done in a tournament. They attempted to remove the competition before they can get going. Same as any war game. My suggestion is to watch the next Big Game (TCW, HHT, BG) and see how a corp gets rolling in a tournament. according to the game timestamp - corp 1 was made at 6:04 day 1, and the first vulcan's forge member entered at 6:07 - I fail to see a 30 min delay there... |

Just wondering if anyone tried killing BOTE Lite by using the cheap thrill of blowing SD within hours of start of game as happened in a couple other 'MAJOR TOURNIES' and in the process of quick thrill killed the interest for many to play in those games again? Takes more than 3 hours to gather a corp and get ready to run and then see the fun was no longer around... Suggest gameops announce total ban on blowing SD..1 day rad decay...and banning players doing that.... Not in reference to the current game of course.... |

Personally, for a major tournament, people should be prepared for dock being blown. They had weeks to prepare a plan, so in tournaments I have no problem with blowing SD. If the edits allow it, it is likely a edit flaw. Jhereg |
