things have changed??? i fire a photon shortly after the hour so i know i have some time before turns regenerate...and actually had two people in the same sector :) so i go for one and cap his ship and got his pod, went back for the other one and attacked a few times and went to refresh my figs, came back and he was gone!!! didnt quit the game, he was still logged in but he disappeared from the sector...what gives????? i am totally confused on this one..

Photon Missile Wave duration is 2 seconds.
Ver# 3.13 MBBS Gold running under Sockets.
The local display is OFF AT ALL TIMES.

anyone know what happened? i asked him but he gave me no answer

could be a few things.
its 3.13 so the ghost ship isnt an option.
i will assume that he did get hit by the photon and that he was alone so had no corpies to help and had no mobile planet in sector so that only leaves:

is it unlim turns? if so, he will regain mobility in X minutes after being photoned where X is the number of seconds of photon duration.

Was there in a planet in sector he could land on? Did he retreat off of your fig and was then in a different sector?

yes there was a planet (6 of them) and i landed on each one, i also had 50 figs (defensive) and 5 mines in the sector....how would one go about retreating from a fig when they have no turns? and turns regenerate 188 every hour

well.
in this case, if you had sector figs and the performed some form of sector entry, they could retreat off of them (barring an active PIG) but they would only go 1 sector, so i assume you would have seen him. as for the planets.. heh. he could be on the planet prompt of any of them :) i only assume they were his? all he has to do is sit and wait for turns, then he is good to go.

If there were 6 planets in the sector, he almost certainly was sitting at the planet prompt on one of them. A player at the planet prompt is invisible. The only way to get him off of it is to det the planet.
