What was the final post that put SGO over the top to get banned? How long is the ban also, because even with most people not agreeing with him and liking his posts, SOMETIMES, he does make valad stuff and more then anything, he's entertaining. =) |

Coke, I read a post that has been deleted early this morning. He plain dispected Rick Mead and in general was just nasty and sarcastic claiming to be the victim etc.... usual SGO stuff. Nope, I'm wrong that was on page 3 of the "Not an argument" thread. Heh... the world may never know. And some of us couldn't care about the WHY part... Just the end result! [:D] |

heh, it could be the disrespect, but i think it might have to do with the fact that he always posts false information and claims it is 150% fact and we are currently debating as to why we lose new people to attrition, well one reason could be that they see someone claiming to be experienced and saying all this stuff, and when the new people listen to it and find it to be dead wrong, they get frustrated and feel that they will never learn if an "experienced" player doesn't even tell them correct info. To be completely honest, I haven't been extremely active in the community as of late, however I can say that I have been reading the posts periodicly & I really did not like that individual, kind of reminded me of the OLD OLD res judicata, or dare I say, barefoot. I understand completely the posistion of EIS & the EIS staff reguarding this individual. Please disreguard his comments & his total BS. |

When a member receives the player is banned avatar, it is not a timed ban, it is indefinite |

if i get banned, can i keep my avatar? i really like it. heh. now i DID enjoy reading SGO's comments and the responses to them (i often laughed my Butt off) i can understand that a new person reading his posts wont find it as funny as he doesnt understand that he is dead wrong. as long as the string about offensive fighters never gets deleted i will always be able to go back and have myself a good hardy laugh. heh Slim |

This type topic came up when the Smack Talk forum went away and EIS stated that it was a "business" and had to act like one. From what little I heard, they acted in a muture "business" way and is justified. Wheather we think it was right or wrong does not matter. Even though in this particular instance most people seem to side with EIS, it may be the other way around the next time. Hopefully there wont be a next time, but I am glad to see that Team EIS is willing to stand firm with there forums. I think this good to show the rest of us that we are "guests" here and should know our boundaries. At least it keeps Slim inline! [:P] |

This is an old thread evidently, but I'm trying to catch up. I remember an SGO from days gone by who used to get banned at every server he ever played at. If this is the same one, he clearly hasn't learned anything over the years. The SGO I remember couldn't keep his mouth shut about anything, even when he didn't have a clue. Ah, the good ole days, makes me nestalgic. |
