I now see that there is no evidence that Brian T. had anything at all to do with cheating on his system (if there was cheating, which can't be proved either). It may just be that there was a DAT problem corrupting the ship's odds. Shrug. As unlikely as this seems, I suppose it's possible. Since the other players bought their ships earlier in the game, they were probably getting the proper odds. Nothing explains them surviving BOTH the quasars AND the offensive fighters, except that perhaps my corp partners inadvertently lowered the quasar settings after I put the planets there. Anything is possible. For these reasons, I now officially retract my accusations against Brian T. I regret implicating him at all, it's a rare person that runs a free TWGS system, and I don't like trashing them. In my defense, I did not identify the system in my original post. I apologize to Brian for it anyway (even though I never identified him). I guess it was just an unlucky day for me in TWARS, and I got over it I wish you all the luck Brian, and hope your game server brings you much joy from now on. Keep on plugging. J. Dean

No problem, I learn from my mistakes too. I happen to make a lot of them. A word of advice to others, do your research before accusing GameOps of cheating. Or at least post that something questionable happened in the game and you would like to know if possible cheating happened. Sometimes having other people examine the evidence can help you. Always get capture files to show as evidence if something funny happens. I must say I did have corpies change the qcannon settings on our planets before. I think it was when the aliens kept seagulling towards our planets, and the corpie got tired of the "Fughui Kuentper got hit with 1234 damage from the Quasar Cannon on Planet #1234" messages every day. I would log in and find the sector level was at 0%, d'oh! Atmospheric level was 0% as well. Not sure why? Someone could in theory come in and beat the sector and planet figs and then take over the planets and turn the qcannons against us when we try to get back in. Lucky for me the new corpies I have do not do that. |

I bet my corpies DID change the quasar settings for that very reason, and when I moved those planets to blockade those guys, I never noticed it. ROFL, sometimes I amaze even myself. Those planets were probably sitting at zero sector quasars! No wonder they just waltzed in there and took the planets. HEH! |
