THE OUTFIT, "THE" TradeWars syndicate, is an organization of individuals, dedicated to THE OUTFIT [GLORY and VICTORY] at all costs.
Failure is NOT an OPTION.

Communication and Organization are the strength of THE OUTFIT. Fear is the Key. Our Mission is to explore the many facets of TradeWars, with our administration and leadership the syndicate will operate as a Business, with research and career opportunities.

Our Knowledge, Skills and Commitment shall achieve great deeds through our dedicated teamwork to leave such an impression on TradeWars as to never be forgotten.

RESPECT is number one, members will show respect to all within the syndicate.

Communication must be at such a high level, that members will know their status at all times.
Each member will have the ability to ACT and LEAD at all times.
Shorthand comms are a must in LIVE GAME PLAY.

CONFUSION is NOT tolerated.

ALL MEMBERS have a say on overall strategy and game tactics, however once a decision is made IT STANDS.

Members are required to play in syndicate games, before corping with others.

TOURNEYS are open, as its nice to corp with other players, that may or may not be an official part of THE OUTFIT.

Reports and game data are vital to victory in games.
Mapping and gridding are KEY.
THE GRID MUST NOT FALL.

All members will be required to save game logs.
Also for POSTING on http://www.shipdestroyed.com we must maintain FEAR Always.

Games will be played with Military precision, meaning that when at keys you give your full attention.
Duties will vary as all members will train for Planet combat and Gridding.

Lastly THE OUTFIT will display class at all times, respecfully destroying our enemies, with such flair and style as to REIGN FEAR UNIVERSALLY.


A general-in-chief should ask himself several times in the day, 'What if the enemy were to appear now in my front, or on my right, or my left?"

In war you see your own troubles; those of the enemy you cannot see. You must show confidence.

Wise people learn when they can; fools learn when they must.

The only thing I am afraid of is fear.

He who is afraid is half beaten.

We should always go before our enemies with confidence, otherwise our apparent uneasiness inspires them with greater boldness.

In war there is but one favorable moment; the great art is to seize it!

Good question Strider. I belong to 2 permas, Death Star and Damage Unlimited.

I never really got a perma off the ground cuz I was trying to get only TOP PEEPS.
I do realize I can take any dedicated trader and make a WINNER outta em.

I have helped a lot of people learn combat in TW.
2 major skills I lack are Mapping/data management and script writing.
I do propose many new ORGINAL script ideas though, but not many peeps share scripts with me.

I am very happy to have Ck's combat pack. Every thing else is PURE MACRO !!

Welcome back Res! You can have your chain back now, I'm done pulling on it. [:D] Building up a solid corp isn't easy. Having a clear mission statement can be helpful, but only if everyone in your corp absolutly buys into it. If they aren't 100%, then you just look foolish.

When I was playing, TEAMWORK was the number ONE thing. You should emphasize it more. Our mantra was "The Cabal is mother, The Cabal is father. We live for the Cabal, we die for The Cabal." Glory is irrelevant. Kills are irrelevant. Fear is irrelevant. The individual is irrelevant. Victory for the corp is the ONLY thing that matters. Individual glory is meaningless if the corp as a whole loses. The entire corp must become a single living, breathing entity. The more you suppress the individual, the more you can focus on the needs of the corp. Then every job becomes important. Then your team does what needs doing. They assess the situation and act.

Other than that little detail, it sounds as good as anything.

Everything else you wrote, some of it sound, was written before, over and over again, over thousands of years. Much of it by Confucious in 6th century BC China, if memory serves. Worked so well there that the last time I was in Sth. China in the early 90's (before they belatedly embraced Capitalism), 75% were living in mud huts. Machiavelli also wrote similarly in the 15th century AD, and as we all know, the Italians conquered the world using his advice.

To choose one point you made, re "fear":

Any human who is never afraid has a room temperature IQ. Sometime in the remote past, a hominid got the crap frightened out of it. It reflected on the experience and made a weapon.

TW is a game. No fear involved, other than peer acclamation/denigration. In either of the foregoing, the impetus is to figure out a way to win, as it is in R/L.

hey Kav, when recruiting peeps into a corp, its wise to be on same page as far as expectations go.
I was asked to write a defintion of what I wanted a perma to be.

If you read it again you see where I focus first and fourmost on WINNING at ALL COSTS.
Yes Fear is the KEY in RL and TW ....TRUST

dedicated to the glory at all costs?? you quit the game on dr waks server before i even got to kill you. yea, fear IS the key, you must have had so much fear thats why you quit. games will be played with military precision?? i hope you're not in the military in the US. Failure must be an option, thats all i have seen so far.

Did I hear that right, Res pulled the chicken manuever and blew dock. NOW thats rare. I thought the chicken manuever was never pulled by someone of such a high caliber... I guess I must be wrong.
