OK, some have asked when we'll be having another game like the one Vader hosted. I plan to start this one very soon after Dupe Chess is done.
It will be over on The Deep South (http://www.thedeepsouth.org, telnet://thedeepsouth.org:2002). It will be Master of Orion 2 edits! 20k sectors, 4 man corps, 1500 turns. NO DUPES.
What are those edits you ask? Well, swing on over and sign in to check them out. I've had a lot of people say they like them (no complaints so far either) and they are a lot of fun. Game M is what it is; the reason you haven't seen them elsewhere is because I wrote them and have been too lazy to distribute them.
Each team will be given one Master of Orion planet. The cits are VERY FAST on that planet, even getting to lvl 5 on day 0. It will have no colos, 20M creds, 50k figs, and a lvl 1 citadel to start. I will do what I can to place the planets in dead end sectors far enough away from your opponents.
All corp members will be over the planet when game starts. Passwords will be emailed to the CEO of the corp (please provide email address).
As in the chess game, if you lose your Orion planet (the main one I start you with) you're out. Terra will have 500k colos to start, regen rate at 65k a day.
I have to limit it to 5 teams of 4 because of the limitations of the server. I am limited to 35 connections so I need to have a few for the other 6 games I host.
Signup will be on this forum. Please post all four corpies and name the CEO. NO DUPES. Anyone caught duping will be deleted from the game as will anyone using anyone else's account, corpmate or otherwise. there, mean time over.
Start time is unknown as of now. When Vader's game is over, expect it within a week of that. I'll post the exact start time then.
