I am not happy at all of the supposed improvements made by our government I feel the changes are mostly petty, superficial, and misleading. I would love for the government to be proactive, the reason it is always involved in such despair and scandal is because it remains reactive and lazy. This nation was founded off of a group of men that dared to standup together and take a proactive stance, the best things about this country derived from a time when it’s government was acting in a proactive capacity.

You can plan for unseen things and potential future events by using deductive reasoning, logic, and plain common sense. This is done by observing materials and conditions that exist within our environment and factoring the possibilities that could result from them. It is a form of displaying respect to our environment and our surroundings. Children partake in this type of activity every day. For example: you look at a regular pickup truck and categorize the makeup (i.e. wheels, breaks, engine, driveshaft, steal, electronics, HAZMAT, heavy, big, storage area, etc.) of the truck and then you summarize what the use of that truck can do, whether intended for that actual use or not, (appearance, pollute, speed, crash, sink, fire, haul items, carry passengers, etc.) You then crate policies and laws to accurately reflect your findings, (require seatbelts, require a catalytic converter, require lights, prevent use of law enforcement light bars, symbols, and logos, etc.)

We do not play “world police” because nobody else is willing to do it; we are doing it to control our own global interests. We have assets all over the world literally in every Country from our past conflicts. Our ships are not on the ocean to prevent piracy they are there to protect the ports and bases our Country controls, our military does not have any control or interest in protecting the property of private industries, cargo ships, or transportation liners, their losses are their Countries own problem to deal with. Those Countries do have their own system of law that is up to them to enforce however they see justified to do so, our military has no rights to interfere or meddle in their business, (unless we are at war with them.)

Saddam is a terrorist, Saddam is an assassin; Saddam was placed into power because of the connections he made and the power he obtained by his actions. Those around him feared him, he killed those that were different from him, he lead by coercing others towards his selfish will, that is exactly what a terrorist does.

I can’t speak for your State, but in California they have taken no absolute action towards better training and emergency disaster preparedness. Sure there was already procedures implemented in for CBR and HAZMAT long ago and generalized training videos and pamphlets, although they have not been adapted and refined to face the new challenges brought forth for the 21-century. With exception of course to firefighters whom are given much more training when compared to law enforcement personnel, as this is an important aspect and does pertain to the majority of their duties as relating directly to medical-aid situations. As far as funding goes, everybody is getting funding and grants to use under these titles, though in actuality it is often being diverted to account for the added overtime of civil service personnel and to hire new personnel to meet staffing requirements, do to the "Homeland Security Advisory System", (which is just another sugarcoated scam designed to allow us to sleep at nite in peace.)

I am in civil service myself (law enforcement affiliated) and I see these political scams going on every single day I come to work. I have to deal with this poor and inadequate training, which ultimately results in misguided opinions and perceptions by city officials, city personnel, and of course our cities civilian population. Local law enforcement does have the capacity to control and combat terrorism they are just not given the tools, training, and facilitations to do adequately so. For example if there were to be an incident even ½ of the scale of 9/11 to occur were I am at, we would be no more effective at dealing with it now then we would have been 4-years ago. That to me is very, very sad.

Sigh I said I would end it on my last post, but I feel like I cheated myself, and you all. Do not confuse your self the the cimentics, I love America, and I feel that our freedom must be defended vigourusly. I am Christian and I feel like the loss of any life is wrong. I just feel that the racist people who say that all muslims or arabs must be killed are idiots. Growing up here in the south i've been around some stupid people before, my own mother for instance grew up in a hard core racist family, and I to this day have never forgotten what it was like to start my life of learning hate for black and hispanic people. As I grew up, i've grown past it.

Not all muslims are evil, not all arabs are muslim. Lets leave it at this, we wont agree, but we have to at some point. So America has commited some mistakes, and now we are paying dearly for those mistakes. In trying to fix those mistakes, we are making more mistakes, and making more enemies. The cycle continues, and you see, we cannot just drop some nukes and get it over with, becase Pakistan is a country dominated by muslims and arabs, and they control a stockpile of nukes as well. Maybe not capable of reaching us, but the allies we so vigourlsy defended from Iraq, their nukes can easily reach....

See the bigger picture, America is making more mistakes than we can afford, spending more money than we can make, and causing more problems for ourseleves than we will ever be able to be forgiven for.

Ender, Christianity really doesn't enter into the equation. If it wasn't for Charles Martel, all Europe would have been Muslim a long time ago. He fought them and won. If he had fought them as you believe all Christians should fight, with words, love, and turning the other cheek, then he would surely have lost. Instead he fought them as they did- steel to steel. Islam is spread with the sword, always has been, and as you can see, it still is. Calling people racist or xenophobic is not really an argument. Personal attacks show a lack of support for your argument, as has been seen before with your comments to Psion. To take your rationale a bit further, all women who get raped deserve it, because they were wearing revealing attire, or perhaps teased their attacker. Can you not see how flawed that argument is?
