I don’t know I have never seen a game with that option actually enabled… I misread the description in the editor, as upon rereading it, it does basically state to limit the use of Photons by FedSafe players, while in FedSpace. Would not all players be able to use Photons from FedSpace if it was enabled, though? Or do they have to actually be FedSafe? Besides the generalization that only FedSafe players would dare sit in FedSpace, of course.

I’ll just change “into” to “from”. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes, sonic, it is. You cannot photon INTO fedspace anymore... that was a bug that was fixed.

This setting refers to the ability to remain "FED SAFE"(over 1k exp And /OR -1 align or lower disqualifies you from being fed safe) while being able to launch a ptorp from fed space (typically Stardock) thus being untouchable yet able to ptorp any who come in / go out.

As a side note, if "interactive sub prompts" are on you can sit @ dock (hardware or shipyards prompt usually) as a non-fedsafe and be quite fine. Lifting carries no delay, so the effects are the same minus the turn cost to re-dock.

Additionally, and I just tested this and found any other time regardless of this setting being enabled/disabled you can fire Photons if you are not FedSafe. It is only when it is set to enabled/yes that it permits FedSafe players to actually firing off Photons from FedSpace and the default is of course disabled/no, thus preventing those that are FedSafe from firing while they are actually FedSafe and in FedSpace.

Not fun to see...not fun to lose all turns and watch reds get uncloaked at SD and end up #SD# holding bank over 35 meg creds.... I have sufered through that and it resulted in JP making several revisions to eliminate that bug and the bugs that appeared due to code changes. Wildstar was the first to mention the 'Photon Fed' bug and almost everyone in forums told him it was impossible.
