I don't get many players on uhndagrowhn, which actually suits me just fine. I don't bang many games, and I don't do hardly any advertising these days aside from my signature tagline. That all takes its toll.

As for -why- its an awesome server, it's because I'm an awesome BBS Sysop/TWGS ServOp, because its the fastest TWGS server on the net (nothing else even comes close), it's far more stable than most systems (minus the everpresent RLOGIN problem courtesy of SNAFUGroups... err, WorldGroups), and because the games are always stock or close to stock and low turn.

But the biggest reason its so awesome, is because I'm so awesome. And thus, anything associated with me is just plain awesome.

Other people might find being this aweseome takes hard work and effort, but it comes so naturally to me.

U know that I have full respect for u Rave....but watch out for my server thats up this september...it'll be on a National Defence T3 line b4 the network splits...it will be fast and the cpu will be completely dedicated to TWGS.

Oh and BTW....Ive been away for a week and I came back to find this Topic at 4 pages...since I don't have time to read it all, I reply to all those who trashed talked TWA: Leave TWA and its newbs ALONE!! At least TWA puts an effort to teach new players and keep them playing as opposed to OTHER A*#HOLES who just kill them their first day and scare them away from the game. Just remember how hard it was for all of u when u first started the game, now multily that by a factor of *8 or so years of game developement* and THATs how hard it is for newbs!! You all should be compimenting them on attempting to learn the game instead of blowing them up for every mistake!!

Hey Cf.. I hope your not the guy that just sent me the mail about TW being a trading game and to leave him alone or he is going to quit and all of that nonsense... If your not disregard... If you are please remember that trading is not the only part of the game.. Universal domination is the other part of it... and while some consider it bad form to attack all of the newbs' , the game is called trade wars. if you are new I would suggest playing on a small game and playing blue and staying fed safe... Ie below 2k exp. if you do that you can park in fed and not be bothered... keep less that 89 fighters on you and you wont be towed either... and always check your ships for limpets if you have been outside any sectyors you control.. Alot of the new'bs dont understand this and are sitting ducks once they pick up a limpet and are not in fedspace.

I can't compete with that kind of bandwidth. In June or July we'll be moving to either a full T1 or partial T3 in support of a broadband internet access business venture, but nowhere near a full T3. As for the server, however, you'll have to be -screaming- fast to even come close to knocking CATHARSIS off its ivory pedestal. I don't have many players, and I don't have many games, but when it comes to speed, I enjoy bragging that CATHARSIS is untouchable.

I thought that was less than 1k exp. and less than 99 ftrs....These have worked for me in the past. Or is this a configurable setting, other than no ships in fedspace overnight?

Yes Feral, this setting changes from game to game and is up to the sysop . USUALLY, 99 ftrs will do it.

100 or less figs, under 1000 exp. It is not configurable that I know of.

Kemper... I have seen peeps get towed with 99 fighters so thats why i saids 89 , also I am pretty sure you are right under 1 k exp
